Awesome trailer! I was about to wonder what was happening with those guys D= but that is looking very promising!!

Thanks very much Just run across one issue, I cut my chest-plate apart tonight to test it and it seems I was too zealous in my re-sizing, it's about an inch either way too big at the shoulders

The thighs however I'm happy with so far!

Yeah that chest looks a little big that sucks hopefully you can make it work, also I noticed that you said you were going to cast tyhe shin, if you cast it wouldn't you be making either 2 right or 2 left shins because I noticed on the shins the top part that meets up with the lower thigh part angles a little inwards for each leg otherwise they would both angle in the same direction, Ive noticed this on a few builds Its hard to notice it but its there. but your build looks great so far, Definatly like the white paint job, Im doing my Hayabusa armor in white also

Sucks about the shoulders! Maybe you can use some padding/foam to fix that?

Besides that, the theighs are looking good, too!

Ehh I'll just rebuild halfway between the one that was too small and the one that was too big, hopefully it'll work out

The shin model I'm using is The extra Hi-def one by Nickt which doesn't have a left or right model, it doesn't lean either way.

Perhaps a cool thing to have with this suit would be an epsilon unit on you're back. Ya know, the folded up grav lift from halo 3?

Mmm that was very tempting, if I get time I might do that. I'm way ahead of my planned schedule so far, hoping the redo of the chest won't push me back!

The only problem with the unit would be that you'd have to scratch build it, I don't know of pep files for it. Now that you've already done one chest, the second one shouldn't be so bad though. The second pep of an under/oversized piece is always easier.

Ehh I tried Rondoing instead of fiberglassing, I found it far, far faster and it put me way ahead of schedule.

Hmm, I'd thought of making it out of foam or something similar tbh.

And yeah, this'll be my third chest pep, the first was small but wearable and wasfor my sarge build, the second was this attempt to make it fit better by being slightly bigger

Thanks Going to feel a bit odd being a bright white spartan, but sorta looking forward to it!

Ohhh god yeah I really want to see where they go in Season 9, should be fun

Got a fair bit done on the Codpiece today to try and bring back my motivation after the chest fail...

And added a detail line carved in plus little fake clasps made of plasticard:

Belakor thanks so much for the model! Easy to build, easy to detail up a bit with som plasticard! Going to look awesome when it's painted and lit up I think!

Got my right shoulder-piece pepped up tonight, just the chest to re-do then I can get everything smoothed out and see about painting / casting parts.

And here was me thinking it was kinda cute O_O Thanks, Meta is coming along a lot faster than expected, hoping to have all the parts pepped, resined, mostly rondoed and bondoed and ready for casting some perts

It works as an incentive to finish the part quick and get nyan cat turned off

Got the CQB Shoulder add-on detailed, carved out the slot for the light. The normal shoulder had the Mk VI plate carved off and smoothed the rest of it out. Got started at last on re-doing my chestpiece which should fit this time...

Finally got brave enough to try moulding for the first time and made a mould of my master handplate, 24 hours curing later and out pops the master, for testing I just used fiberglass resin to make casts and whipped up two quickes

Yeah, took a bit of a knock from the last one not working and some home stuff but I knuckled down and tried to just throw myself back at it.

It's looking like 3rd time is the charm tbh, just hoping my head fits through the gap, looks like I should just be able to! I kinda felt the plate didn't look quite right without those wee bits, and having seen Belakor's one I just had to add them.

Thanks again! Am definitely wanting to get it done, would love to see the reaction at the Expo in October if I manage to get it to work

Righty ho, Update time!

Chest has been rebuilt slightly smaller so it looks like it'll fit ok now. Need to get my hands on more bondo to stiffen and smooth it out.

I did a little more mould work and am currently tooling about making Winchester 223 rounds for some slight practice, the moulds a bit rough but it works!

And I've added some screw/bolt heads for detailing on the thighs
