Right back atcha buddy. Your foam builds are insane. Thanks so much for the comment! :)
This is made of win.
Thanks Octo, I like win!:)

Wow, creaper...lol. Anyways, looks great so far. Stop stalking your fellow coworkers!

ROFL! I did exactly that yesterday. I watched the corner mirror (mirror that lets you see around corners) and waited for the guy who works for me to come around. As he did I kinda made a move toward him and it almost scared the crap (poo) outta him.:eek He stumbled and caught himself on the fork truck. He scares really easily. It was so funny. He took it well though. He just laughted and said "man that's awesome". Ahhh, good times. :D

Awesome job on the CQB Halo suit, I'm currently building one myself.
Thanks for the comment. I look forward to seeing progress on yours soon.:)

I have another update for you fine people....the CQB shoulder attachment. I started off by making a template out of regular printer paper. I kept fitting it, trim a little, look at the reference photo, trim more, etc until I had it the way I wanted.

Next, I transferred the templates to foam, cut them out and spray glued them to the attachments.

I then sealed the foam with several coats of decoupage finish.

Next comes the base flat white, followed by taping off the black accent and painting it with acrylic black, glued the cut off screw heads in place, wiped them down with newspaper to get that dirty look, then dry brushed metallic silver over them to get what you see here.

I still need to add the leds but that will come later. Thanks for checking in and please comment. They mean alot! :D

I've been pretty quiet on this build, but I've been secretly admiring it for a while. Your work is absolutely beautiful in a way I can only begin to tell you. It's obvious how much time and hard work you put into each piece to make it look just right and do what you want it to do. You seem very meticulous and I am beyond impressed. Please keep pushing forward dude. I can't wait to see this build finished like so many of us here but we're patiently waiting so you can make each piece perfect.

One quick question tho. What exactly is decoupage finish, and where do you get it from? Thanks man.

Those shoulders look great! It's awesome to see what you've been busy doing while I've been (unfortunately) away from the site. This may have sparked some motivation for me to get some projects done :D Keep up the awesome work!

These shoulder attachments look fantastic Shore! I agree with the above comments. I too would like to know what this decoupage finish is. Sounds artsy. Keep up the great work my friend!

I really, really appreciate the above comments. It's nice to see that hard work doesn't go unnoticed. While I don't consider my work to be any where near perfect, I do try to make the pieces look great. As far as the decoupage is concerned, here is what I've been using and it's worked out pretty well so far. The only downfall is you have to put several coats on to seal the foam. I believe you can get it at Walmart, Micheal's and also online.
