hey everyone, no picture updates on my build yet, im still trying to find a camera. i know theres one around here someplace! i have about 80% of the suit pepped, and just ran out of cardstock. bummer. Hopefully ill be able to get some paper and resin in the next few days. I don't have a mannequin or anything but i've laid all my pieces on the floor semi assembled and man oh man it looks so good. I couldnt (still cant) stop thinking about how amazing pepakura is and also how great JUICE is for his hard work on this. i got so excited tonight that i had to tell someone, and since its 2:45 am here and every person i know is asleep, i thought id let you guys know and ill try and get some pics up soon! I am using the 1.9 scale and everything seems to be proportioned to my frame quite well except the top of the thighs come up a little high, but i think i have a way to resolve that after its been resined and bondoed. If it ends up being a problem and me not being able to move well, ill probably put some "lifts" in the shoes to make me taller by an inch or two (maybe three, why not?? plus it would look slightly more menacing to be taller in the suit) sorry if i've rambled, im tired and coherent thoughts arent flowing super well at the moment. I love this build, i love iron man (and war machine) and i love JUICE for making this all possible. Thank you so much!
Le-yo-ra, i hope your build is still going well!
edit: one last thing. i was curious to what the numbers and letters were on the right shoulder the ED 445 FLTS. The 445th Flight Test Squadron is what it stands for and is a real group in the military which originally performed "testing of aircraft and tactics" back in WWII and has since evolved into testing todays great new flying machinery ie War Machine. The 445th FLTS currently operate out of EDwards airforce base, giving it the ED for short. This makes perfect sense given the Air Force logo on the left machine gun. The 001 obviously refers to it as the prototype and first of its kind. I am not sure what the logo on the left bicep is exactly but i assume its another military branch emblem/logo. Pretty interesting stuff, as i am very fond of the "little details" in things. Favreau has really done a great job incorporating these tiny details into the plot of Iron man, and i am sure Iron man 2.
