A minor thing but I found this and fell in love with it. This is totally the look I am going for with my suit.

The guy in the middle is exactly the look I am trying to achieve!

Thanks man, I really want to get crackin on the legs so I can go ahead and resin/glass the thing but it's cold here in Virginia and I don't have a nice shop to work in. It is supposed to warm ip here this weekend so hopefully I'll Get some work done

Awesome progress so far. Everythhing looks really good. Can't wait to see this thing finished.

All of the files I have for the space marine armor came from the obsuruscrusade.com very much like this site nut 40 k dedicated

And my current army is small but still growing

I used to have a large chaos emprorers children army but I sold it.

mini update:

ok so pardon the fact that I am in pajama pants, I was relaxing at home with my wife, lol
I just happened to finish the boot and the thigh of my right leg, the shin in these pics is one I did as a reference, it is too big I have one that is a bit smaller cut up just waiting to be glued, but I thought it was just something I could post.

this one is to show size reference with my foot, I am wearing a size 12 boot underneath the shoe and there is still alot of wiggle room in there. I am going to have to pad the crap out of this thing if I am to be wearing it. My wife thinks its funny she cant wait to see it all finished to see if I can walk in the thing. Whats ok is I feel very confident that I will be able to move just fine.

thanks man! and eh I guess your right, I just always associated them with the inquisition since they always seem to be be portrayed with a inquisitor, or especially a chaplain of some kind. And the people who play the space marine game can get confused with that too since the inquisition used the black templars to subdue captain titus at the end of the game

yea, they are actually sent on campaigns to hostile planets to wipe out all hostile life. and im thinking of doing a foam build of a templar soon

Ok so I finished both of the legs as well as the cod/belt piece. Which means I have the entire lower half of the body completed. The belt piece I am going to have a problem with though, its too small to fit around my waist because of my build and if I go any bigger its gonna be huge. So I have an idea to work something out. the character I am going to base my costume on has a loin cloth thing coming down the front between the legs, which mean it will cover up the crotch so I can pretty much ditch that piece which is good so I can be comfortable. The leg files I used from Ral Partha include a hip plate that I can use to cover up the area between the front of the belt and the back/butt piece, so I can incorporate that into the belt rig I plan on using. So all in all it will look pretty awesome when its all done.
