So tomorrow i plan to go get my visor but then i was thinking how am i going to attach it?

I was thinking maybe if i glued little clips on the inside and to the helmet once its resined.

These are the clips I am thinking of. What ways have you guys attached your visor to your helmets?

Those would probably work better than my idea. I was going to install small screws along the inner walls... The only thing I'm worried about with these are how well they'll hold up when you glue them in. I know that sometimes these things can be a real pain to snap apart when they are new.

I like the gorilla glue idea, but I am interested to see what it would look like and how well it would work with the snaps.

If the visor is a bit wider around the edges then it is in the final model, you could just fasten it with an extra layer of inner-helmet...

What I mean is... why not attach the visor like you attach a window into a building...

Yeah i kinda see what you mean, I had today to think about it while at class and came up with a few other ideas.

I nailed the visors at key stress points and just hot glued the rest. afterwards, I sealed the corner with a wire of sorts to blend the visor in with the helmet rim. It works nicely. Your idea seems to work as well, and perhaps you can even interchange visors as well !

I didn't think about interchanging visors that's a great idea.

Something I've been thinking about for my MC helmet, as well as a few others is using the T-nuts and screws from a football helmet.

You just gorilla glue or epoxy in the T-nut, and then a black rubber washer between the t-nut and the faceplate, and then the screw. That way you can remove your faceplate if need-be, or not.

I like the football helmet screws idea.. that may leave invisible gaps for air entry as well, which always helps.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking also.

Also, they have these in one of the drawers in the Fasteners/Screws aisle in Lowes. They are a little more expensive there, but a touch more convenient.

Well I live in a really rural area and all I have is a walmart and a Big R. The closes Lowes is 2 hours away over The Rockies, but i will look around the stores that I have maybe one of them can special order me some.
