Full size Elite

Hello 405th. I know I have very few posts, but I've been a long time member. Over the years I've collected quite a few models to build from. I've got a few projects sitting around my house due to this interesting hobby. But that's not why I'm posting.

I'm in the middle of building a full size Elite/ Arbiter statue. I'm using pepakura to get the base body down. So far, I've built the head, torso, and a leg. I'm in the middle of building the second leg. It turned out to be like 111 pages to print for the legs, but its worth it. The pile of paper looks like I'm working on a manuscript.

This is awesome! I'm thinking of making the arbiter as a costume for my girlfriend, and will be looking at using this method, at least in part to do it!

It has taken me about two weeks to build. I got the files from the 405th pep bundle. I'll start working on the next leg tomorrow.

I am using default printouts for the head, torso, and the legs. I have not altered the files in size whatsoever. However, I have a secondary torso that has thigh attachments that is not unfolded or scaled. I will attempt to not printout the entire second torso, but only the parts I need. And I will have to scale those as well.

Looks really good so far. Are you going to add sound effects to it? It would be wicked to have motion sensors and when someone walks past it it makes noise.

I'm not sure how tall it will end up. I have only built one leg, and I am in the process of building the second one. I will need to build a thigh piece for both legs in order to connect them. The way I have it set up now, it towers over my wife.

From the top of the neck piece, I'd say a little over 7ft, or just shy under.

It will only be a life size elite. I don't do the electronic thing, so I will probably end up sticking the statue somewhere in town.
