Well hello. Ive finished off the pep versions of an AR, helm, and hand grenade.>>>
the only difficulty is that only the assult rifle is made of 110 card stock and the helm and grenade are made of regular printing paper. another fault is the assult rifle is croked as hell at the top and in many places the tape fails... oh ya im using tape.
So from this point i have not a clue what to do. I do want to make a full MkIV armor as well as a unsc pistol and a scout head scout right sholder and eva left sholder. so if you have any helpfull advice please leave some.
oh ya kinda forgot i dont exactly know how to scale the helm so it fits so if any one knows about scale... ?

I don't think you finnished that AR. It look WAAAY too crooked and stuff.

On the other hand, the helmet and the nade look good, keep it up.

The helm looks great with it being made out of regular paper I tried that when I first started and it ended up being a wad of glue and wet paper.

*as for the next step you may want to try to do another helm using card stock and glue because tape and resin don't work too well together. I'm not saying that It wont work but you will get way better results out of glue and card stock.

Use this thread for your scaling. If you still don't understand just send me a PM I'll be glad to help.

*One last thing remember that if you do decide to resin and fiberglass look up and make sure you know the safety precautions.

*This is a good thread*

You def should use glue, trust me its a lot easier. if you dont have a hot glue gun they are like 4 bucks and well worth it. the helmet and nade look very well constructed but prob wouldnt work too well with resining. honestly im surprised it looks that good with tape that takes some serious skill and patience!

thanks for the reply my morale was in the &hit hole.
yes im thinking of using super glue but the helmet as you can see couldent fit a greased midget.
fyi i cant get scale right.

I use Mod Podge and a paintbrush, and it works for me. Its all about personal *forgot the word* preference (remebered it) and sucesses.

It's used for scrapbooking and crafts mostly. It's a sealer that can act as a bonding agent. It holds the paper together but is still semi flexible, so warping doesn't happen often to me.

should be same as the helm you built but its awlays about trial and error heck ive built about 6 of FS's helmets and each one fits better than the other

Read the stickies and relevant threads more.

I know you're new, kid, but a lot of these questions are answered with the simplest of research. I'll help, but first you have to help yourself.

nice help my self eh that was a fail on my part oh well and anyway... i did reserch and i found all of these funky formulsas for scale and when i tryed the most promising one i came up with a diologe box saying your printer does not have the scale specified ajust scale? yes or no
and when i hit no i have pices that are cut in half and pices that are just missing pices period.
so i only realy have one question as of now and that is what to change the scale too so my "regular" printer can accomplish its task without a retarded #uck up.

Nobody's deflecting the question.

That warning box is coming up because your printer is printing to a parer size that's different to the one in Pepakura. You need to check that they're both the same - if you use A4 paper, then you need to ensure that Pepakura is operating on the same scale. Likewise for Letter-scaled paper - if you're American you'll be using Letter.

Also check the orientation of your paper - Portrait or Landscape? If it's Landscape in Pepakura, you need to change your print setting accordingly in the Advanced settings of your chosen printer.

Now, on a personal note: stop being rude. People are doing their best to help you and you're just coming off as an irritable noob. Calm it down and take a second to read the advice rather than get frustrated.
