This is very good, his attention to detail, keep up the good work my friend
Toja thank you! I have watched your briareos build from when I first joined here and thought it was nothing but amazing work

Really good work with the details. keep it up. With skills like yours your whole suit will be AWESOMENESS!
Skully, thank you again sir. you have watched my last two threads on completed helmets and I appreciate that. I feel like my work is getting better on this one. Currently i am folding the h4 recon slowly and also unfolding the monkeyfuj warriorchest over again to make it a bit easier to assemble, that unfold is taking me longer than expected lol. reducing the amount of microscopic pieces. wednesday I should have more of the small detail done and than hopefully payday I can grab a visor and do a double visor on this one. i just need to find some cheaper iridium visors to work with since it will be my first double up.

Amazing work so far bro. The fin overhang detailing is a great idea, we should dub it the Sonnyhang for those that use it :)
+1 here.

Tom.

This is looking gorgeous, I'm probably repeating myself here but WOW! I love this.
Surely you don't want it cluttering up your house though? You should send it over to Australia and I'll take care of it... :p Jks, you should be really proud of it, it's turning out even nicer than your Warrior helmet, and that's saying something :)

Aww shucks Tom  thanks bubba. i thought he overhang would give it a meaner look to it so when i tried one out i knew it was a keeper :)

Sara thank you, clutter i don't want, so thats why i make space for stuff like this lol. but if i end up making casts of this i will be sure to message you :) This build is turning out to be more fun than my warrior helmet by far, alot more custom additions to it. i think today i am gonna go cut some firewood in a few and when i get back start thinking of the search light assembly! That part is gonna be a blast for me.

great looking build so far, I can only hope my current side project gets results as good as this!

eh. no double post! THank you all for the awesome comments, they keep me going on my progress.

So since it was so cold today and started snowing and no heater, blah blah blah here is the current small, but pain in the a$$ work i did today, the raised pieces on the front of the helmet

Here is the start on one side

I cut the face out completely due to the fact that i want to do a dual layer visor that covers the whole face like the reference shot in post one shows.
Its too cold to keep working here but maybe tomorrow it will warm up a bit and i can get to work on the mouth piece

Looking good! It amuses me your in Arizona and its snowing. I'm in the Uk and all we get is rain. I associate Arizona with searing heat!

Thanks dbmike!. Yeah alot of people have the misconception that all of arizona is just a searing hot desert, i live up north in the woods (more central actually) and we get plenty of snow here and freezing cold weather.

Looking nice bro. Sorry to hear about the cold front your getting.

I wish we could get a cold front here in Darwin, Australia. But we are just a bit above the equatorial line. Lots of hot and muggy weather.....

Your doing a really nice job man, I live in Florida and its actually cold here to at the moment so Im going through the same issues with curing problems and short work times before its to cold to do anything but give it a day or two and its warm again ;) hope you can get the cold issues figured out, maybe get some kind of space heater work space or build a hot box to speed up the curing process

thanks hyper. i have been using a big halogen work lamp. seems to do it's job. sorry for the lack of updates. i caught something which is just killing me. no energy to do any work.

Small update, sorry for the lack of. Between the holidays, side work, and now having to rebuild a whole new deck because mine crapped out and fell apart on me for some reason I haven't had alot of time to devote to my helmet, sorry Recon :(
Anywho this part had proven to be difficult to get right but now that its done i think it looks okay. i changed it a bit and decided to fair the front into the back of the front inset a bit and decided to see how it looked. its not up to par with the render but i think i might do it like this and keep it that way, i kinda like it.

I have to head back to work tomorrow and also go for a new job interview, so who knows if i will be getting anything done on this tomorrow. I have high hopes though :)

Hey Sonny, hope you are feeling better. Helmet looking great, keep it up. Looking forward to see how you are gonna do the shield. And I hope the interview went well for you.
