Just wanted to share this with you guys because I'm a little proud of it, I'm in the detailing stage now :)

117 in Braille, the dots are hot glue dots that you get when leaving it on for too long, just attached them with normal glue (tried spray mount first but had to wipe it all off since it's too thick and looked ****) hope they won't go off, i guess the first coat of primer will fix it even better :)

Making great progress! The braille was certainly a nice touch. Any more of those little niches to come as you go along?

Thanks chico escabar :)
It was a discount special so it cost me 100$ + the shipping to Austria 50$

Hyperballistik
Glad you got the helmet finally, hoope you get it all finished in time
I'm glad aswell yes haha :D
There isn't too much time left but i'm working like mad on the suit and when details are finally done I'll finish the helmet.
Thanks again for that awesome casting :)

Nice helmet you have there! :D Seems like nobody is interested in building their H4 helmets on their own anymore. ^^ guess that offer was just hard to resist. well, I got one too. :p I'm just wondering, did you have to pay for the custom clearance?

I have to say your armor looks great, although it's not 100% game accurate. I like the details jo you put on. Can't wait to see it painted.

Well there was just no time to build one and Hyper's castings are too damn accurate to be true so I had to have one :p
And yes I paid 33€ for customs clearance

Armors looking great man!

Two questions:
Where exactly did you purchase the helmet casting?
And how tall are you? I'm interested in buying a helmet, but I'm afraid it'll be too small proportionally to me.

I purchased it from Stony Props, I've seen the discount on the helmet on facebook and bought one but I'm not sure if there's still any castings left because mine was already a discount because the mold was worn out (quality is still awesome) I'm 1.80~ cm tall (can't tell in inches or foot :p) it is said that the helmet doesn't usually fit when you receive it but seems like I've got the perfect helmet head so I didn't need to make it wider with a heat gun.

You should either send Hyperballistik a PM or check out Stony Props fb page :)

Alright 2 weeks left and this is what I got :)

Shins and Boots are also done, I'll do the final detailing tomorrow also engraving here and there with my dremel.
Next comes the helmet although I still need to get a visor from somewhere and overall paint job will be done middle of next week :)

Alright I'm updating this because I'm seriously pissed now, I tried several different primer sprays and now even plasti dip although it's damn expensive, well this is the outcome
imag1252w.jpg

Cracks everywhere when stretching and bending
The fun part is, the spots where almost no plasti dip touched the foam, the paint looks like this when stretching and bending it

I know I should have tried paint only first (blaming myself for not trying this.) I painted a small piece with one coat color only now, I'll see what it looks like and if it breaks when it's dry

That's funny! So it would be better a better to not use any plasti dip on your armor??
Apparently it does nothing to the paint...

The reason people use plasti-dip is to seal foam, otherwise it looks so fake.

Tip to make it not crack: don't bend the foam! It's not meant to be bent...
