very nice work, i havent been able to get the cardboard style working correctly to do that. you got some talent.
are you going to be doing fiberglass over that?
since i cant start topics as of yet, i was going to ask if anyone has tried anything else instead of fiberglass.
im trying 2 things right now, with no clue if they will work....
i would really like to know if there is anything else, cause i hate fiber glass resin.

ok, not sure if this is necro-ing a post... but GOD DAMN ! lol that is one NICE job you have been doing on that build man. i hope you are planning on continuing this build, cause i would LOVE to see how you make the Mk IV thighs.

in my third armour build i have lined up for the foreseeable future i'm planning on making a custom spartan armour build made from elements for the Mk IV, V, and VI that i find particularly visually pleasing. the thighs are on thing from the Mk IV that i really quite like the look of =D

Lol thanks. Yes, I do plan on continuing this armor and finnishing it. I plan to figerglass and everything. Sorry about the whole not updating lately thing, I've just been really busy lately. But rest assured, I'm still continuing this project.

So far, I have used 3 full 3 feet by 3 feet cardboard boxes to make the helmet, arms, and chest. I originally had a few cardboard boxes left over from some of my old projects. But you can find cardboard boxes that you can buy from Kinkos or UPS and stuff.

Why buy cardboard? I can get HUGE ammounts of it for free from behind furnature stores. I mean on average around 3 empty 9'x21' boxes. (fridge/freezer boxes) Why pay money when you can get the same quality cardboard for free?

Well, it's been a while since an update so I thought I'd post a video of the armor really quick. This is what's been going on so far, not much, but I began working on the chest piece again. Sorry for the bad quality, took this with my phone. And more importantly, now that I'm on vacation, I'm finally free to continue this armor, so I'll be posting updates a lot more now. Anyway here's the vid.

Awesome scratch build. A tip for using carboard, you can use thin cardboard like cereal boxes to help smooth everything out and give it a nice finish.
