Wow (y) , I think I may just start practicing with cardboard and hot glue.

I work overnight at wal-mart so I would never run out of cardboard  .

That is looking so amazing, I bet it takes much less time than the pepakura route as well.

Would anyone happen to know any alternatives to using an HJC visor for the helmet visor? I haven't checked my local motorcycle store yet but I need to know of any alternatives just incase they dont have any. So would anyone know of any alternatives? This would really help out a lot with this project. Thanks.

What I do for a cheap alternative is I use the plastic sides from a clear 2 liter bottle & put an orange plastic binder divider behind it to give it an orange tint. It's not as good as hjc visors but it's great for a temporary alternative until you can get a hjc visor.

EDIT: Here's an example of what I said above, but with a blue binder divider. You can get some at walmart.

ANOTHER EDIT: You can add a yellow one to it to make it look more gold.

Well this isn't really much of an update, more of all just pics with the actual helmet on to show it's "scale". So heres the pics. Pardon the horrible photoshop skills. Oh and the random dots of paint from photoshop on the pics that are kinda floating around on the edges were unintentional. I have no clue how that happened.

And yes, that's a keyblade in the back.:lol:/lol_2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol_2:' />" border="0" alt="lol_2.gif" />

Well I have good news and bad news. First off, the good news is that my local motorcycle store does sell visors. Bad news, they're out of stock on gold visors. All they had left was chrome blue and silver. They said they're likely to re-stock by this weekend so hopefully I'll have a pic up with more progress and the real visor by this weekend or early next week.

Yes, that's a Kingdom Key I made when I got bored one day. It's made of wood, plastic, and cardboard. It does have the chain on the end of the handle but I took it off for the pics. I usually take off the chain when I'm swinging the blade around because it tends to fly around randomly.

Well, I just got back from hours of searching store to store for a motorcyle visor. And I have now reached a level of frustration that I did not think I could reach. Not one of those stores sold a single visor!!! You either buy the entire helmet or nothing. And the cheapest helmet I saw was like 80 bucks. I asked them if they had any gold motorcycle visors because they told me they would be re-stocked by this weekend. They told me they only have gold visors if you ask them to order it for you online. And at first I thought, well that's not too bad. But the catch is, there's no refunds if you ask them to order it for you. I'm not even sure if the gold visor I wanted would fit in the helmet properly. So in the end, I just gave up. After hours of frustration I just gave up. So now, I'm been sitting here pondering ways for an alternative visor method. I've came up with a few ideas, but I still would prefer a gold visor. I'll keep looking but for now I'll have to use an alternative.

The height of the visor is not my concern, it's more of all the like the width that has me concerned, like the "curveness" horizontal wise may be a little too curved for the helmet.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted an update in a while. I've been really busy lately with schoolwork and other projects. Anyway, I thought I'd post up an update finally. Not much, but still. I started on the chest piece about an hour ago. Here's the pics so far. ;)

Oh and as for the visor. I'm going to try the orangish tint that the spartans have in the campaign when they talk to you on the HUD. Like so.

Anyway, not much of an update, but I'll be posting more once I make more progress on the chest piece.
