This is precisely why I started using poly fiber 2 filler it sands like butter. Also I only use bondo for stuff I break. Primer with filler is a great cheater as well.
This is looking great!

Thanks for the compliment, i sometimes use primer instead of 320 grit
Even though it looks rough, that will sand and/or file down incredibly easy. It is nice that it is one solid piece now, as you can make those ridges even more defined if you want without worrying about going through and hitting cardstock Another reason why I love using Rondo for casting is because it is incredibly strong yet has just enough give to not be brittle.
This is looking great and I can't wait to see what the end product looks like!
Thanks EVAkura, this is my first time trying to do any sort of casting, and it turned out well. i have sanded, glazed, and primed my first handplate. My second one just came out of the mold and im starting to clean it up. The method is so useful, silicone is expensive:confused Pics up soon of 1st handplate done. I have also just done my 1st layer of a mold for the side of the bicep pieces, molding is going to save sooo much peping(total of 4 of the side pieces).
