LOL. Thanks for the flattery... It's getting there for sure. I'm glad to see this helmet coming to an end.

We are going to be starting another project shortly....

You should considering to take a few photo's from the single player from halo 3 for a better reference, WETA did a great job but there are a few thing that ar'nt completely accurate.

:not worthy: :not worthy: :not worthy:

EDIT:
Its not that you guys cant do it on you own but i made this a while back for my own ODST sculpt.

LOL. We're still going on the Mark V? armor but we are going to pound through another project also. Two guys = two projects :)

We're doing the WETA version of the ODST armor. We'll hopefully be doing NZ-TK's ODST helmet also.

will you do the entire MC suit then start on the ODST? I hope you do a whole mc because this is looking great! Very smooth. I wish i could buy one when you make more its fantastic!

I know what it's like to have ambitions that outweigh time to do this stuff. I'd love for you guys to do something others haven't worked on before, and I think ODST is a great route.

Have you decided what to do about the cheek vents/splitloom stuff?

LOL. I did this at lunch today. I painted vaseline into the vent holes and then pressed Evercoat into the holes to take impressions. This gives me the base for my vents. I pressed some renshape onto the wet evercoat to hold it in place and to give myself more depth for shaping the vents. Renshape is a far better material to machine than Evercoat or Bondo.

You can do anything with it. It sand smoothly. It's fairly soft. I can gouge it with my fingernail. You can cut it on tablesaw, bandsaw, mill, lathe, etc. You can dremel it, carve it, etc. It's like a slightly chalkier bondo. It's about $600.00 for a 2"x16"x48" board. If you need a thicker piece, you just CA glue two pieces together. They bond immediately and you can start work right away. I highly suggest it if you are trying to get high detail quickly and accurately.

My god guys, this just keeps getting better and better and better! First it was Spartan Armor, now ODST Armor! Ohhhh my.

I'm at a loss for words right now...quiet Lewis, you know that doesn't happen very often!! :rolleyes
