wow its looking awesome ace cant wait to see it finished

about $20 but that's Australian. honestly the spray paints over here are rubbish, there arnt many colours available. they are all gloss and shiny fake looking. to get a good matte paint to need to get it custom.

have you ever considered a compressed air gun? i think its called that :\ mental blank at the moment but a few of my mates use them to paint models and im gonna pinch it to paint my armour when its done, basicly have a compressor attached to a spray gun and you attach a paint pot to the gun and spray on the paint, they can be a bit expensive (about $100-$200 AU plus compressor) but you can basicly use any paint you can get ya hands on an will probably pay itself off in saved pains in the ass

its only little... ^^ a boot toe!
ive got a massive headache and dont want to spend more than an hour trying to unfold and concentrating just hurts.. i need it done pretty soon, i think others might like this aswel!
also could it be done at a 130mm width? (which would give 70mm height and 90 depth) this is good for a size 8 american or 6 english, should work but... i have no idea if it will work well or not.. test time

actually i have but i just dont have the money at the minute.. im using everything ive got for sprays and body filler and everything else! ahah maybe on my next suit i will invest in a spray kit. as im still looking into molding so i will probably get a air brush just to make the final product super awesome

hey its all about practise, to be honest my first ever attempt at pepakura was my hd mk vi suit, so i dived in head first and have improved so much take your time and im sure it will work out!

and i just don't have time to fix them up, maybe when im finished. but i doubt it will even be noticeable when done

a good less shiny look gives the colors based on NC not acryl... they have a matt finish and looks really clean.
the montana brand is the best i think and its a german brand... the line is called "black"... the "gold" line based on acryl.

i dont really know if you can purchase montana black in australia but i think so. give it a try and the horison blue washed with some black paint looks nearly the same you choose.

btw: they costs less than 4€ in germany and we have high taxes
if you are intrested i could send you the colors you want in case you cant order it.

AceNat, this is amazing. I have been reading through your thread since I signed up almost a week ago. I read an article about 405th.com in OXM's October issue and tada here I am. Anyways, I must say, you are a wizard with this stuff. I have ambitions to make my own set of armor someday... I just gotta figure out where to start. Do you think it'd be taking on too much to just jump into making myself some Kat armor? It seems like such a complicated process, and I'd be worried that after making the pieces they'd warp or not be to scale... how do you keep yourself from feeling overwhelmed? I haven't even started and I'm feeling that way lol
