I'll probably do like 2 coats for each layer, but I'm glad I figured out the problem now.. lol

And the black add on made some wierd thing and I think it was because maybe the red shrank and made it all wierd or something.. Either way I'm gonna have to try to get in there and sand it..

I'd agree with doing two coats for each. Despite the saying "less is more", in some cases (such as this one) you have to do a little more to make sure you get the right result. Looking forward to your progress on this, buddy ;)

So, Mac buddy... have you been able to resolve the paint-peeling issue? :unsure

I've been wondering about that myself... sorry that it happened to ya Mac. I'm using the 2x coat too and it didn't happen to me yet... How long do you let it dry?

EDIT: Okay, I just found out. Man, I don't know why it's doing that... :unsure

Well, I've sanded my forearms and I think and hope they are right now.. I'm still have problems with the paint.

I've concluded that it's the 2x Coverate Painter's Touch that has caused the problem..

I compared it to my previous can and it's missing a chemical or something called Toluene. The new can I got has that in it and I think I found the sufficient paint, but the 2x is still causing problems..

I've been testing it on my custom front license paint I was trying to paint.. When adding a new layer after sanding the 2x red layer that died, I've noticed that when a new coat over top was sprayed it caused the lower red to become wet again and make the layer seem too thick so it'd crack.

Now I'm going to test it and get it right before I do any painting on my armor. I've figure out that it's the red, Now i'm got to prove it for sure.

I'm just assuming.. And I got the new primer on the forearms to dry nice and work right.. I just hope adding new layer of paint won't cause it to do that every layer.. We'll see.

I'm testing the red on the license plate frame and I'm gonna paint black on the forearms and see what happens.

Like Soulless said, I'm glad to hear you've managed to get the issue pretty much figured out. Fingers crossed that further testing will give you the proper result, buddy ;)

Move your ass Mac! I've been watching this thread for a while now and I better see this spartan in action by halo-ween! :angry :D

lol I know what you mean there! Like Yoda and Soulless, I'm excited to see it done too... I know you're getting close, but we understand if you don't want to rush.

So hurry and get to it! :p

EDIT: The biceps need work, obviously, but I got my forearms painted with their 2 under coats of paint, but I didn't put the base color on because I wanted to make sure the silver and black would dry.
