Yea, it definitely because of the 2X coverage paint. I don't know why but that was the problem..
I also fully re-primed my recon, I have the crown piece ready for plastic but idk if I'll get to it. I'll worry about recon later but this is where it's at right now..
Oh man, that Recon Helmet is looking bad@$$! Really digging the forearms as well.
Looking good Mac! and like Soulless mentioned, glad the whole paint thing is figured out. Now I'm a little worried about when I'm going to paint my suit... I'm using the 2x coverage paint (Oregano Color) and it hasn't cracked/messed up on me yet... I'm hoping it doesn't start now... Maybe the weather has something to do with it (not likely)? I don't know... I'll give you a heads up in case it cracks on me too.
@ SoullessSin ~ Yea you're stickers are there, still not ready to use them, go figure. lol
@ Pooper ~ I think the reason I had the problem was because I had 2 other layers of paint underneath it and the another one on top, the black. And if you look on all the other cans and then the 2X, it is missing 1 chemical in comparison to everything else.. But idk, all that matters is that it works now.
Thank you, but I'm not sure when I'm gonna paint it. I've got it done so.. I think I'm gonna continue getting all my pieces to that same point and then get it completely done.
dude love the armor its coming along great and btw this is what i do for painting i sunbake the armor in silver then two coats in whatever color then i scratch off the areas ok were i want to be battle worn then i dont have to worrie and later down the road nicks and dings and what not make it more battle worn and all i have to do is wear the armor
I bought the LEDs for the helmet from RadioShack. They were 10mm bright whites. I got housing for them off of ebay. I drilled a hole and inserted the housing into it.
