No offense, but on the "static" model with no moving parts, the bolt area looks kinda messy, with that groove and all.

But on the other hand, nobody's going to care, so just ignore this. Keep it up!

Compass? What the hell are you guys talking about? The compass is on the Assault rifle, not the Battle Rifle! Check it up in game.

There isn't a compass for the BR. I haven't checked out the sniper much and didn't know if it had one built into the sight.

Sick job, I don't know if I've posted in here saying the same thing, but It truley is turning out to be an epic rifle.

Looking forward to the final result,

-Doom

Its my hope to finally receive the wiring kit in the next week and then Iwill gt to finish the first BR up.
The second one I'm tring to raise the cash and then I will be starting on making a mold.

I know that the groove is a little messy but I will get that cleaned up before I mold. It doesn't bother me. Its called constructive critisism.

Ditto not much to send but anything that gets this baby in production helps.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your offers, but it really more time issue.
With all the homework for my classes are keeping me so busy that I don't get to spend the time with my son like I want to.
I have a friend with a proto type mold shop that said I could use his shop and he would help me, but again I just don't have the time. Spring break is coming up so maybe I can get some work done on making the molds then.

Thanks again guys.

If time is an issue, send it to us, we'll make you a mold for free, send it back to you, if you let us cast 3 before we give it back. :notworthy:

Customs won,t like it! :p

I did some rework on the solid BR thats gonna be molded so it can be shipped out of country.
Here is the modifications.

Broke the main body down into the upper receiver and lower receiver.

Here is a pic with it all back together.

I might consider letting someone else make the molds so it I can get casts out quicker.

Sounds good. Another trick is the good old flashy orange paint ^^

And just write down a letter explaining that it is a prop.

Have you sealed the wood yet? What did (will) you use?

I have planned on sealing the wood with lacquer and using primer paint to see if there is any places that need repaired.

Unless you have some suggestions.

1st. Love the project, excellent work
2nd. I'm a noob when it comes to wood, but my dad is pretty good and i'm pretty sure that's what he would do, so go ahead

I'd just go with sanding sealer (shellac). That will keep it from changing size as the humidity changes. Slicksand or some other Polyester primer for final grain filling. Just stay away from the can stuff on such a nice piece.
