Not an armor update (I have made progress, just didn't take any pictures), but I thought I'd share with you guys the foam assault rifle I've been tinkering with. It's not highly super detailed or anything, just enough that it'll look the part and be quickly recognizable. I also down-scaled it so it isn't 1:1. With the barrel attached, it's about six inches shorter. I did that to make it look more proportionate to me in the armor vs a seven foot tall person. Check it:

I'm seriously blown away at the amount of detail that you've put into this armor. That rifle is coming along great too! What's the thickness of the foam base you're using? (I assume it's the foam insulation material anyway.)

Thanks man!! It's alll about them details. As I say: good is in the details. And thanks about the rifle! It's really just a super simple hack job. The base is actually foam board, or also referred to as foam core, 1/2". Then the added craft foam layers are 1/4" and 3mm, or whatever thickness those foamies are that come in a roll.

Here's the completed assault rifle. Lights are all wired up, battery hidden inside the grip, and added some black wash. I realized after looking at these pics, I still need to add the little "bolt" details to the top part of the rifle. Also, with the battery, this thing weighs only .95 pounds!! (yes, I scaled it at my work) Check it:

This build is truly breathtaking! I am very inspired by your work! About three years ago I started a helmet but I couldn't finish because a) I made it out of regular paper so it was very weak, and b) it got sat on. Hopefully I can start the project I want to start soon as hopefully I will have a job that I can afford to do this but as soon as I do I am getting to work haha. I just have one question for you as of now, about how long did it take you to do the pep for each part, and overall how many months have you worked on this? I'm new to this so I am just trying to get an idea of what I'm getting into

Hey all, sorry for the delay, but I'm back with more picture updates!!

Got the boots and the biceps all done, weathered, lights, and everything good to go. I ran into a problem with the boots, as the tactical boots I was going to use for a base ended up not fitting how I thought it would, I had to improvise a new idea for possible footwear to use underneath the pep'ed boots. Turns out, my old low-top Chuck Taylor's worked out just perfectly, haha. Check it:

I built my AR myself, hence the build progress pictures that I posted...
