looks like you had to do some work to alter the shape of the pep helmet. its really the buttom half of the helmet that doesnt match the veta version

I didnt really think about extending it but that will probably be a good idea
I wish the rain around here would stop for a while so I can give some more updates but yours is looking excellent

Hey, do you have a scaling for this helmet? I got a pdo file of one from this site, but I wanted to know how to scale it for myself.

I used the helmet as it came, no resizing. I was sending out a few free visors to some but I am currently swamped with orders and it will be a little while before I can send more out. To those who are still waiting for theirs, they're coming.

I'm trying really hard to get this done by Halloween. Not a lot of progress this weekend. Just a backup frame for the visor and fine tuning the shape of the helmet.

Nice. Very high speed, low drag. The visor looks great, and with a frame to boot! The helmet itself is shaping up great, too. Bravo Zulu.

Dang, first time I see this thread, and I'm jalous!

I'm sad I don't have that body filler up here.

Keep it up buddy, you're amazing and I'm already voting for 1337ness.

Any auto body supply shop should have something similar. Just about any brand works better than Bondo.

Try:
Lauzon Auto Body Parts Inc
Montréal-Nord, QC H1G 5L4
Canada

Thanks buddy, still, it's about 45 minutes away, but I'll have to check for one nearer.

Do you know that place or it's just a quick Gooooogling? ^^

In all seriousness: what WOULD you charge for a pull of that? I'd be very interested in possibly funding you for the materials for a mould and a pull of the end product plus perhaps a visor.

We don't discuss prices in public on the boards. I'd suggest PM'ing Rube directly before you attract moderator attention. Carry on.

I just googled that shop. I thought maybe you guys up north had some draconian environmental laws that disallowed poly filler. Just curious.

They're late but that's why I'm doing it for free. :) I don't have enough free time to promise a product at a time certain. Which I would have to do if I charged. I do believe you'll have them before Halloween though. My girlfriend's car bought the farm so we've had to go car shopping which has cut into my project time. She's rolling again so I'll be free to get back to making perfectly good bondo into dust and warping sheets of clear plastic into odd shapes.

The car thing can claim another casualty. I had planned to order the really sweet Hatch Tactical glove that SKG pointed out but I regretfully have to settle for these work gloves, for now.

And now for something totally off topic:
Ridley Scott is going to direct "The Forever War". I have been waiting for this for a long time. I hope he doesn't Eff it up. I'm still steamed about "Starship Troopers". (Scott didn't have anything to do with that but he has dropped a couple of smelly ones lately.) Let's hope they do the powered armor justice.

The gloves look pretty close, especially for a cheaper peair pof gloves.
From memory the gloves WETA used in the shorts where the Oakley tactical gloves, just without the Oakley symbol.
The ODST armor is looking better every time i look at this thread, i cant wait to see it finished!

That armor is turning out amazingly! I'm starting my first project - an ODST. I'll use all your pics for reference! Can't wait till it's done!

Dude that helmet is amazing!! If you don't get it done by haloween you would deffinately have it done by the time Halo 3: Recon comes out.
