@ Doom: Nopes, silly Doom it's Max 9. I prefer using instanced geometry and I usually don't seal them up until I'm completely satisfied with the models, that's why I have many open seams. The modifiers can do some odd things also, so I aviod using them :) And thanks :D

I'll try to do some more tweaks over the weekend, just depends on my workload (as always) *sigh* I still have to finish my FS torso hahahah, it's on my computer desk looking quite unhappy XD

So, let's here it for another slow work day... well more of me not tearing through all my shiz and not having anything to do Monday. I fixed up the gauntlets and added some more details, as well as re-proportioning the armor. I also fixed up areas of the front of the chest plate. I added the pads on either side of the main chest plate. While I think these should actually be soft armor, but I know not everyone has access to stuff like that. The metal clips have also been added and so has the uber simple belt plate. I did some minor tweaks to the thigh plates. I really just have to work out the rest of back of the chest plate and tweak everything, then it's on to forming it to a human body :D

Knees done, basic toe cap there, and shins coming in the next few hours. still needs tweaking

Hi Guys,

I hope you don't mind me chiming in. I know it still a work in progress, but shouldn't the top of the knee abit like this? Just thought I'll add something to the cause.

The top of the model knee is flat like that, in c4d it shades adjacent polygons slightly differently so you can see them in the editor easier, it makes it appear like they are curved, the top( where it meets the bottom of the thigh will be flatter though, everyone feel free to chime in with ideas, it helps us catch things we might miss.

@ NZ: That looks so dope do far NZ! :D Ah 3D programs love and curse, the darn unrendered lighting (and even the renders) hid a lot of geometry XD

Nice work those are some HOT models.

Why hasnt anyone done any bad guys? makes me sad. not really but yer haha. it would be cool if we all got together and just went paintballing in good and bad guy armor
