progress is looking good! I thought my torso was too small too all the up until it was fully constructed. I think you're fine.
Here's some early-later shots of my torso I'm currently working on.

It should come together don't worry :) just keep truckin.

And if it doesn't... there's always 4.0 xD

The piece looks really good.......is it small.....It could stand to be 5-8% bigger but then I'm prone to making my suits on the bigger/bulkier side and filling in w/ additional padding. Go big or go home.....but it really looks great. Cut lines are precise and your glue marks/spillage had decreased. Nicely done. As far as the parts bending inward.....might come from over beveling the cuts. If you heat the seam from the inside and gently pry the parts apart just to give it the proper angel, you can then back fill any gaps with more glue.

5 hours of work and it’s slowly coming together although some parts bend inward a bit too much. It still looks like it could fit a child and I worried, but test fit shows it should work.

Once you get the backpack on it'll look better. Based on the outer edge of the shoulder and the collar I'd say you're at a good scale to match up with the game scale when you consider the arm gaskets and neck seal.

That looks amazing! I have to ask how you have those pieces under the front chest plate fixed on there? In the model I have they are floating but I like what you’ve done with them a lot better than having them “float”. I’m gonna look but in case I can’t find it do you have a build thread? It’s been too long since I’ve done this, the only memory I have of the last time I built this chest piece, is getting stuck in fitting and having to wait for someone to get home to help me out. Ha ha ha...4.0...Not this soon D;

I am small...I got the short genes...I don’t think I’ve ever padded the inside of the suit before other than the helmet, It’s normally comfortable enough to just wear? But if need be I’m already seeing areas I can dismantle and add to. HAHA glad you noticed! I’ve gotten a little more careful with how much glue I’m putting which has helped keep clean up to a minimum. To add to that, I started gluing together the seams that everyone will see first and once that’s dry glue the inside and fold the pieces together. Sometimes the outer seam rips because it’s a heavily beveled piece but overall its been giving me nicer lines! It’s also made me realize that waiting for the glue to cool is taking up more time than I’d like, so after this build is done I WILL be experimenting with contact cement. I started eating my pride and admitting when I’ve beveled too heavily and have been using scrap foam to fill in some gaps, pouring too much glue makes me have to wait even longer before continuing work.

That’s what I’m hoping...I’m specifically not adding those until the main piece is done, I know I used the foam mats for the entire chest piece last time and that’s what probably made it too small. So I’m going to try to use that bendy foam mat that’s a lil thinner than the regular foam mats from harbor freight for those areas. As for the neck seal...Uh might just stick with the drop cloth I have for now, I’ve seen some really nice neck seals and would love to try my hand at one, but I don’t think time will allow that... :C

ZettaiKagerou Thanks! I do have a build thread available here: Foam - Ranger's Halo: Reach Build (all my build threads are linked on my profile) though that last photo is more recent than my last thread update xD. I hope to be dumping an update into my thread about 2 weeks from now after I've sealed it, and then again after I've painted it.

Sure thing! Credit to TurboCharizard for the Velcro trick. You can see what my torso looked like before the velcro on the second to last page in my thread (update post before it got derailed again). That velcro holds so strong, those top buckles are barely necessary. It is admittedly a paint to get on/off, but once it's on... like Spiderman [It's] not goin no-where. Here are some photo's of my behind the scenes (click for full size).

The nice thing about recording everything, is I can just pull photos like this out of my album while at work xD

Well it’s a good thing I have no problems tearing apart things I’ve glued together already...because I definitely need to make the suit a lot more friendlier for suit up since I won’t have a handler. I haven’t brought this up before because I was going to wait to finish the suit first, but there are many adjustments I need to look into for making suit removal as quickly as possible. Long story short I got either food poisoning or accidentally ate something I shouldn’t/can’t have and was lucky to have removed the majority of the suit before getting physically ill in a convention center bathroom.

Oof, hope you're feeling better!
Yeah, I highly reccomend moving the buckles to the front panel. Additionally, I also reccomend puttng the male buckled on the back and the female buckle on the front, this makes it easier to find a finagle with your fingers. I'm able to do it myself, even if it takes a moment.

Really? Wasn't TurboCharizard duck taped body enough?

Wow bully, must be nice to be able to reach things on the high shelf huh? Don’t gotta climb the shelves and then have grocery staff smack you with a broom?? I have not seen a photo of their armor or them yet.

The food poisoning thing was I believe the last convention I wore suit 2.5 at. I was later diagnosed with IBS I think the year after that? Which is why I’d like to be able to get out of the suit in a quick manner. While I can manage my diet and avoid trigger foods sometimes just high stress situations will set off symptoms closely related to food poisoning. I’ve gotten better at suppressing symptoms but I’d still like to be assured I can take off the armor all by myself.

........bully?.........where are you from exactly?............and your true age........The usage of "bully" as an adjective is pretty old school.....I should know....I'm old.

And sorry about your IBS......I know nothing substantial to help. I deal with other type of aliments in my household. But we digress.....build is coming along nicely.

I'm in a weird spot where I still look like a child but I can get alcohol, and insurance. Long time friends use "Bully" when we spam kill the same person, or actually make fun of each other. As for the condition its all good, knowing is half the battle, and I have ways of managing it now that I know.

It’s been awhile~
Progress has been slow because I’m physically exhausted from work these days and also MCC on PC. BUT I managed to finish the back chest piece thing. And started working on the pieces that connect it on the side before getting super tired. Since the majority of the difficult stuff seems to be out of the way it should be easier to work on the smaller stuff through the week...should.

I still have yet to successfully find a photo of your armor or for height reference...and I tried real hard. Lol
This is my ODST build. There should be something in there with being teased about height. Lol.
