Recon Armor

Does anyone know how you get the recon armor in halo 3?

EDIT: Short of getting hired by Bungie, you've got to do something totally unique in the game, like that guy who killed himself with his own sniper shot.

Make an awesome machinima like DigitalPh33r and make an episode including recon armor and they might (keyword: might) give it to you.

Thats what some guy did, and he showed it in slow motion too, bungie gave him recon armor.

Tell you the truth, recon armor is already ingame, but it's not unlocked, if there was a way to hack your profile on their servers, you could get recon armor easily, but sadly, they'd find out, ban you and sue you.

You have to go into their servers to hack your own profile on there. They arent stupid enough to save your data on your xbox's HDD. If they were, we'd all have recon armor from a save file leaked online.

People only want it cause they cant have it. My favourite helmets are EOD and Security but, Id still kill kittens for recon, just to say I got it.

Meh. It's over-rated. Just like the Hayabusa helm - just a gimmick. I vastly prefer the Scout or ODST helms/perms myself.

Edit: rvb18, I hardly think you hacked your own account. And if you have, you almost certainly wouldn't be using it to get online. Boasts like that merely amuse right-thinking people.

As most people will have figured out by now p) Recon is by far my favorite, not because I can't have it but because I think it's the coolest looking.
My advise for getting it in-game is... Don't go out of your way for it and don't ask for it, just go about your business and if you do something cool/stupid/funny, upload a video/pic and if you're lucky someone might see it and maybe you'll get the armor

Apparently a dude accidently shot himself in the face with a sniper rifle by shooting a bubble shield. It ricocheted off the bubble shield, off another wall and into his head. Bunjie saw the vid and awarded him the recon armour. At least thats wat i was told.

I thought recon armor was for the elite.
