I'm a little confused. What happened? Is the plastic not coming off the buck? What am I looking at in that picture?Does anyone have any tips for how to remove the plastic from the buck after it’s formed?
Mb chief I read the old message. Excuse my 4th grade reading levelI'm a little confused. What happened? Is the plastic not coming off the buck? What am I looking at in that picture?
Sometimes the plastic won't come off if there's an overhang on the buck. Sometimes the plastic you're using to form is too rigid and won't bend away from the buck. What happens when you try to remove it?
I’ll take a picture of the next form I do. Basically the visor forms so well the buck will not come out from under the visor. The pictures I posted the buck is nice and smooth, but appeared to create the c shaped scratches? Do I have to worry about that transferring to the visor?I'm a little confused. What happened? Sorry on the vague post. I was trying to get the pictures up before the dentist started drilling.I'm a little confused. What happened? Is the plastic not coming off the buck? What am I looking at in that picture?

That’s the plastic I’m using for the visor. I wet sanded the buck until I was using 3000 grit. When I wiped the buck the Cs showed up.Hey no problem with the slightly vague post. I just wanted to learn more about your situation.
I think those C-shaped scratches will show up in your next pull. I’ve never seen scratches like that though, that’s very interesting. There's a few reasons the plastic could have a hard time coming off the buck. If it's caught on something, if the plastic is just too rigid and won't ben away, or if it sticks to the buck for some reason. Seeing as it created visible deformities on the buck when you pulled it away, I would intuitively thing that that last option is the case, but I can't quite be certain what the exact cause was.
Those c-shaped patterns remind me very much of the pattern an orbital sander leaves behind when sanding low grit on a gummy surface. Did you sand the buck down after you removed the plastic? Or did those patterns immediately appear after you took the plastic off the buck?
Also, sorry if you've already mentioned this, what thickness and type of plastic are you using to vacuum form? And how hot are you heating the plastic to?

I have been using the oven at 300 and letting the plastic droop until it’s evenly sagging.
