Aaaaa that looks so smooooooth, a fresh silken ODST
Not only are you making your helmet extra smooth, you are also keeping Bondo in business! XD
I do use a lot of spot putty to hide all my layer lines, but using it everywhere and laying it by hand tends to add defects and spots that look like nicks, scratches and metal pitting. I love all the added small details that using spot putty incorrectly tends to give me!Not only are you making your helmet extra smooth, you are also keeping Bondo in business! XD
This looks great! ODST builds are always so awesome!Base coat and second color are down.

I was sick most of this last week so not as much progress as I'd like to have made.
Thank you, I appreciate it! I was worried about the grey as I was peeling the tape off, but I'm glad it worked out!to be honest, i was skeptical of the colour scheme first. but the weathering pulls it together very nicely
well done
Thank you!Very well done!
Your weathering is incredible.. The blood is such a nice touch as well.Final weathering finished, all that's left is the black visor and this helmet is done!

Pretty much all that's left is to paint, put in the visor and electronics. I'll be starting the paint job this week so it should be finished before the end of the year!
Thank you! There is a photo of the final paint job after the weathering is completed a bit further into the thread! The ODST helmet is fun to do but the size of the visor is always my hang up on it lol.WOW now that is a smooth helmet, man i cant wait to see it all completed this makes me want to start a odst. correction after master chief is done i will be doing a odst this is why im always broke lol.
