Sure.

By editing your posts, you can turn 4 replies into one big reply. You have been making one post per reply, but if you edit it, you can make one post with 5 replies. Do you get it now?

The edit button isn't working well right now, so you may want to go where it says "Go Advanced".

Actually, for replying to multiple people, it might be a better idea to multiquote them in the first place. Just hit the small button in the lower right corner of each post you want to reply to, and when you're finished click "reply to thread". You can use this to select as many posts as you like, even across multiple pages.

Hey thanks for the compliments on my work! I really do get re-energized when I get positive feedback from my progress pics. As for you question about subscribing to a thread it should be at the top of the page right under "share this thread" click thread tools and then click subscribe when the option pops up. Hope this helps!

Hey guys sorry for the long lulls between updates...i have finals coming up so studying is taking a big chunk out of my time to work on my suit...but i do have some work finished! Soooo here you go!

I finished both biceps ( I had to remake 1 because the first one I made was wayyy too small and didn't fit my arm very well) <--- i bet your laughing at this kozlowski123 :p

Here are both biceps

...and because I wanted to wear this at night as well I wanted to throw in some LEDs into the helmet. I'm not sure if carter actually has lights on his helmet but I was thinking about putting them into the side panel right next to the visor...we'll see how that goes when I install them but for now I did a test run and tinkered with some electronics because I have never wired LEDs before and came out with this!

I know the set up looks a little messed up right now but i will make it prettier when the time comes to install the LEDs I was just looking to get the wiring down and it worked out fine! I'm using blue LEDs because I didn't want to go with the usual white LEDs ;). Hope you enjoy!

here's the setup 2 LEDs hooked up to a 9v with a 150ohm resistor and switch so I can turn them on and off without having to take my helmet off =D.

I really like the intensity of the lights im using right now they are bright enough to be a makeshift flashlight but not intense enough to blind people when they stare upon the awesomeness that I will be wearing lol.

Let me know what you think! Thanks for stopping by!

Hey so as for the setup it costs me about 40 because I had to go out and buy a soldering kit and all the wires. If you were to have all of that already and just go out to buy the LEDs resistors and switch its about $15. I bought my stuff from radioshack so you might be able to find your equipment somewhere else for cheaper. I didn't really have any access to awesome hobby shops so radioshack was really my only option. Let me know if you need help with the wiring i'd be moe than happy to help you out.

Um not quite sure. I have to go look more closely at carter in-game and see where the lights are on his suit. I watched a great tutorial that explained how to give that glowing armer look but i'm not quite sure what I want to do with it yet. I'll probably figure it out sometime after I finish resining the outside. If I want to i'll just cut out the places I need the light to shine through and go from there. We'll see because I'm not sure how expensive it'll be to power a whole suit with LEDs I'll have to look into it...but for now just the helmet will have LEDs.

Hey guys so winter break has finally arrived and I have some updates for you! I got to pepping as soon as finals was over and completed the left thigh, left shin, and one of the boots with the toe cap. I also was able to pep both knees and will be done with the other boot soon. I will update later when I finish the other boot and redo ruze's helmet. I will then move onto resin and fiberglass and hopefully will be able to get everything done without any warping because warping = evil...lol here are the updates I have so far, ENJOY THE PICS!!!

hope the leds dont burn out cause thats alot to have on the leds 9volts are a big issues when you have 2 leds on them

Yeah I have a resistor on the setup so its setup pretty good. I want to run them to see if they really do match the 25 hours they're supposed to be able to last continuously but I'll probably wait for that. Thanks for the heads up though!

Spartan_D211 you're one ungreatful little noob. How dare you say that about someone who has worked so hard on bringing us a file and giving it to us out of the goodness of his heart. Did he have all of the references to make an accuracte file? No. He did what he could as well as the other talented modelers out there who give us this stuff for free and to make this community strong as it is now.

I bet you don't even know the first bloody thing about modeling. It takes hours of work, trying to get every usable detail cramed in there without making your life a living hell during the build process. And because of the crap that comes out of the mindless, ungreatful mouths like youself, you make the backbone of this community leave, never to comeback.

So do me, and of the other members a favor and keep comments like that where they belong. NOWHERE!

If I was in Adam's shoes, I would have perma-banned you the second I caught my eye on your little comment.
=================================

Now, surfahbum808, you are doing a fine job on the build. I'm sure your second try on the pieces will be successful.

Keep it up so my brother can be jealous of this build. Carter is his favorite Spartan-III and would love to see a finished suit!

Dude,i appreciate everything people do here and i think its awesome!I know it takes allot of time and effort to make 3D models cuz modelers talk about that all the time in their threads and im sorry if i offended anyone but that helmet is UGLY!.Im sure he did all he could and from what im reading in your comment he made this before any decent refference for the helm was available (?) and if thats the case i understand.
