Really that needs to be a co-op build. I looks like to mch for one person in Pep. Foam maybe not so bad not sure though.

it's been build lordhood I've found a few already...

Now to get together the reference materials again. :) Thanks for this. I'll be getting no sleep for a while

Also, if some kind soul will fire up their copy of Halo 4 and get some pics of the Pioneer helmet from the side, top, front and back I would appreciate it.
Theres still a few pics in my fileshare for the Pioneer helmet from when Crimmson first asked for references.

@Zaff - Those are great, thank you. They will allow me to make the needed tweaks to the original model made by Crimmson. He actually has done some incredible work on this. It's the perfect compromise between HD and LD which I think is where he hit his problem. I am a HD person and might be the wrong person for this for most of you. My stuff ends up being heck to pep. Time will tell however. I can only hope I do Crimmson justice in this.

I am preparing the unsc sniper rifle during my lunch hr. Before I get far along , do you guys want the front legs to the bipod mesh welded to the side of the rifle or do I leave them off. I have left them out in the current version due to me thinking that it would be better to free hand them out of solid materials verses paper. I also left out the handle on the front for the same reason. Currently working on the scope. I won't be able to upload the file when I get done because I am on my phone Internet only.

I think that you should leave them in but not mesh welded. When I made the Reach version it comes without it and although I did make one I think I got the scale off badly and it looks kinda small. If you left it in someone could do an unfold for pep, foam, or take measurements from it to redesign their own.

I would keep the legs in the file, but not attached to the main body of the sniper. That way you don't have to build them out of paper, I for one wouldn't, but you still have the templates.

nice work Crimmson pumping out models every week despite a minor hick-up.

The DMR looks beeediful. Might print that one out!

Thanks for open sourcing everything!

Your welcome Harry

The front bipod is not mesh welded at all. It is there for reference only as requested. Any problems let me know, or fix them if you want please. Any changes feel free to make them as you see fit.

I found a lot more over lapping faces in the V2 so I'm going through it and fixing them and then going to unfold it sometime this week.

hey crimson i don't to question your what but how long have you been doing this for?(molding work)

and a side note in the newest addition of escalation think you can make a quick rig of the data pad hood and palmer pulls off that elites body.

ok so I went back in time, to reach again.

I have always wanted one, I never ranked up high enough to get it in game. I hope you guys and gals like it.

it is just a mesh weld, editing magic to make it work

this would probably only be a decorative helmet only, unless you cut out the eye socket. I would paint the skull in glow in the dark paint with a white base so you can put a black light over it. yeah, I thought about this for a while.

and for contrast, I usually don't use this setting, but I felt it helped it out this time

This may be the only reason I ever do a pilot helmet. There's nothing wrong with it, but the pilot just never had any great looks enough for me to plan a build. Also You uploaded the Diadacts forearm model and not the actual helmet.
