no worries, I don't consider ,really, anything thread jacking. especially not for release of unfolds. any problems with the models to look out for?

I am still working on the wet works armor.

I got bored last night at work as it was uneventful, my field boss fell asleep in my work truck... yeah! of course I took pictures, get out of jail card suckas, so I started remodeling the recruit files as I, let me repeat that, as I would like to see them. hopefully you guys and gals will to( I wanted to add a picture of the hypnotoad from futurama but I didn't or did i and you are under my control), like the changes I make. I will keep the original design as much as possible as always( I wont remodel all of it(yet)), the boots, shins, forearms and helmet, in this order, will be split into two sections. except the boots. for ease of wearing for me, maybe, I have really big calves(from running, playing hockey, weight training, working in the frac industry), forearms and biceps (21's). I have peped many files and none fit my body shape. either to big or to small I usually end up cutting the pep and adding spacer, well I am tired of that as I am sure some of the bigger guys here will attest to. hopefully this works out good. one major con in this is scaling two pieces in pepakura it is fun, but if I get it right...

now you guys are probably thinking what the... but hear me out. this as a foam build would be great in my opinion as I haven't built it yet. and peped traditionally and molded in rubber( idea only as I have never done molding, much less with rubber)

and you guys probably thought they were going to be simple. nope. I really don't like the idea of placing a boot inside of a... boot model. hmmmm yeah that works
as you see the model has been heavily modified, but still has the look of the original file. internet high five... don't leave me hanging.

and finally. the destiny titian. i really struggle with helmets so play with it at your own risk. but i hope that it is good enough or a good starting point for someone else. i changed a lot on this model since the last time i posted a full spread or update on this helmet. i haven't found any new good (imo) reference pictures especially the back to keep trying

I still need the rest of scout to be finished in foam templates

I am sorry that I cant help you with the scout foam unfolds I just don't know how to do it to make a foam unfold

it should be in my thread some where. it is one of the halo4 marine file I mesh welded and uploaded. I don't think it has been unfolded yet.

I don't have those models with me or the programs to get them into blender. I believe Seth posted a link to the thread at the RPF containing these a bunch of ready to pep files(I think, I haven't down loaded any). I wont be home for a while, I am away at the field right now, working nights. it might be a bit even when I get home, the pack I uploaded here isn't even the tip of the ice burg of the amount of .mdl I have.

shin armor split with alignment pins. I did the thigh plate but it didn't look right to me. so I canned it in the brown file.

update on the wetworks armor

I straightened out a lot of faces making them flat, giving the back piece better flow before continuing onto the sides

I made it Arcanine, it is not 100%. I took some liberties on the model especially the back, top, bottom. I used the same picture that was posted here and youtube.
It has been a labor of love as I have been working on this for months.

I am having trouble with the visor. I can get it to look how I want it from the side but not the front. I don't want to make hard edges on the visor

Ah, I see. I'm modifying the HD Mk VI file myself, that one seems a lot better to work on, but I can't get the AI port right.

sending you a pm. I used a lot of reference from other helmets for the back area and winging it of course. my reference isn't all that great, but how many mk6 helmets, etc, files has anyone here looked at. you can see the lines in your head when you close your eyes. ok so how many people actually tried that, I did.
 
I was thinking while sleeping about what you said Arcanine. I have a halo 3 mp Mc file that looks a lot like the mk6 gen 2 armor that I can modify.
Out of curiosity what do you think of the file I sent you?
 
The file's fine, to be honest. I'm just a stickler for smooth, accurate lines, and the HD Mk VI helmet has all of that.

Essentially, all I'd need to do is:

- Remove the top ridges
- Add the rear AI port
- Remove some of the brim detail

Aside from that, the H4 Mk VI helmet is remarkably similar to the H3 Mk VI helmet. I just want to ensure that people have a HD option.
 
Hey Arcanine have you ever seen textures like this when extracting, I don't remember seeing them like this. can you upload a pic like this one in the extraction program, it the storm mc solo in the m30 cryptum map. I used tag class view instead of folder. I kind of messed with it a little with plugins, not the ones it came with. everything loads faster, also has any one gotten the phatom with textures, buildings, the full forerunner pawn.

I think I just answered my own question, because everytime I have looked at this model of the sky it never showed me the textures only the faces of the model and now it is very clear, the pic.
