well i now have the jaw made. it is slightly warped because it doesn't have the cheeks holding it's shape. but it will look good when i'm done.

Wow I've been away for far too long. So I leave this forum for a couple weeks and come back to find out that I can toss the FS helm I've been working on. Not that I'm complaining or anything . Anyhow, the helmet looks amazing FS gratz on your work, you should get a medal for your contributions to the forum ^^... seriously. So I'm gonna try and tackle this huge project, but first I have a question for you FS. do you think you'll have the entire MC suit fully completed by the end of July this year? There's a costume convention that I want to go to, but there's no use working on your suit if it's not going to be finished by then.

btw I just bought Lord of the Rings Online. All I can say is that this game PWNZ WOW so hard!

Looks good so far. It does look a little warped, but that's due to the fact that it isn't attached to the rest. Now, will you be the first to finish the helmet?

why not just start now n by the time you finish whats already out there (hand plates, boots, torso, helmets etc) more will be out. no point in hangin around waitin when you could be building.

not actively (yet). at the moment we both seem (well i am anyway) to be trying to get what we have to a standard that we can then do for the other parts so its all consistant. (consistantly messing with you head "where the hell is the other 317?!!" )

Change the 6 for 10.

Also, in Ral Partha's file, 2 pieces are overlapted. (Jaw Section)

i think the size was ok but the number just got smudged, prolly cuz there darker.

What are you talking about? I just checked my file using print preview and there are no overlaps, especially in the jaw area that you mentioned.

Right now I've had some sleep (6 hours worth) I am ready for my introduction/rant.

I have started to resin the the helm and can't wait for it to dry.

FS you are a legend and I thank you for all your hardwork.

I'm not going to lie, this helm was really tough to put togeather, mainly for the tiny folds but I love the detail and it is totally worth it. I'm hoping to have the helm fully resined and fibre glassed by the weekend. I'm not gonna use bondo on this one but thats cause we don't really have it over here in the UK and I've got something else I want to try.

I'll start a new thread on how my helm is going when i've got some real stuff to show, I'll also show some previous helms I've made.

I've started on the helmet, and have cut all of the pieces out, assembled the supports (something easy to do first ), and am going to start on scoring the tabs (which is about all the folds there are). I wan't to finish it on our 3-day weekend, but I don't think it'll happen
