So, my final electronic component got here today, and I sort of just wired the entire thing in one go. I had to replace all the LEDs at some point because I completed the circuit with only three of them and it made them all dull, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

I made the wire long enough and then some to run down my sleeve into my hand so I can turn the flashlight on without touching the helmet. there's a little toggle button switch that I have hidden in the glove in the video.

Probably jumped the gun on doing this but I didn't want to wait until I paint it

I'm trying to attach a video but I'm not sure I'm able to

that helmet is awesome to be foam great work

Chest update:
I think I'll have it done within 2-3 days. Then I'll need a nother 1-2 to fill all the seams of which there are disappointingly many. If I had built this in sections instead of a difficult, barely attached mess at first, there would be much less, but here we are. I was pretty concerned by the proportions when I put this on (idk what exactly is * maybe*wrong with it though if anything is) but when I set it down on the ground together it looks pretty much perfect I think

I can't wait to work on literally any other piece other than this torso. It has been so long on this one piece and even though it looks mostly finished, theres still roughly 29~ pieces to cut.

Other than that, obviously building these is nice. Mosquitos constantly bite my ankles out there in the garage, sure, but it's nice staying out there with music playing on the amp, alone until almost midnight some days just being productive.

Next update should be within a week, hopefully this is finished by then.

Lookin good! I know that pain... the torso is the most annoying piece to build simply because of how big it is. I also know the pain of mosquito bites, and that's why I build inside now lol

I don't know how it's been a while month but I have the torso and pelvis done now. I'll have to add some sort of buckle to the pelvis because as it is now, I can't get it on unless I put it on from the top which makes it impossible to get off without help.

This looks soooo much better than my old suit.

If anybody has done the undersuit out of foam, can you help? I have a picture of @joetoysbuild on YT's suit and there don't appear to be any seams at all, wondering if, well I don't know exactly what I'm asking for but I'm a bit stuck

Got the biceps sized, will print and test scale tomorrow. gotta make up for the fact that the torso took over a month to complete(ish) and I have just over three months until Halloween.

i think that those are vac formed foam its what it looks like to me, i have to resize mine and then i am making mine out of a foam&rubber mix from smooth on.

Hey everyone
I've never made a post here before so I'm just gonna try to format this as best I can. I'm in the process of making a halo infinite suit out of foam and I've only seen one other person who's also done it entirely out of foam. This will be my 4th suit of armor (TF2 grapple pilot, angellegend chief, TF2 Viper, and now this) and I want to make this as detailed as possible. I'll attach pictures of my progress here as I have them. So far only the helmet is built.

I'm proud of the cleanliness of my foam work so far, even with a few seams here and there, it's overall sharp and not lopsided. In some pictures it may look thinner than it should, but pulling wider apart makes it look correct.
Opinions welcome
Can you send me the templates in pdf, I would love to make the armor, but I can’t find any good templates that are free, and I have a iMac, so pdo files don’t work. please and thank you, if you can not, tell me.

I could, but I doubt it would be helpful. you won't be able to scale in PDF form

Well, could you scale it if I give dimensions?
maybe, but no guarantees on accuracy. most of the time the dimension needed is based off of some random distance between vertices instead of any obvious measurement. You'd be best off installing the program on a friend's windows laptop or something like that and then sending yourself the files. There's so many random specifics with the scaling that only you can know (when I was measuring my head with two books I still tweaked the size several times afterwards) that it would be time consuming and worse quality for somebody else to try.

Biceps are almost done. I think they're just a tad too small (they fit well but look little miniature compared to the torso), but I'm going to keep going with the rest of the suit for now. If it turns out they're too small, I'll probably just rebuild the top section bigger as the underneath part is less noticeable, but if I need to rebuild that too I will.

College starts soon, hoping I'll have time to finish this soon. Most likely I will, but the fact i have about 2 months remaining and i want 1 of those to be for filling and painting scares me. I have less time than it feels

I don't want the semester to starttttt
Where did July go??

Forearms are all done and scaled pretty perfectly. Biceps are still way too small but they're technically done enough to not be a priority at the moment. I realized I'm extremely crunched for time, having 7 pieces to make in about 36 days, being the thighs, shins, boots, and torso undersuit. that will leave me a month to seal, fill, paint, and anything else like that. cutting it close but I need to make it by Halloween
