Halo Infinite GEN III Master Chief MK VI/ VII

So I’m finally making another build thread and I hope I get to update this. I’ll be starting master chief’s Gen III armor from Halo Infinite. Though official files aren’t accessible, i will just try to work the best files I can and modify them. Here’s some torso progress and I’ve also immediately noticed something in Chief’s new armor in a new cover art.

So the interesting thing I noticed in the cover art is that chief’s armor articulates!!! Specifically in the shoulder area, you’ll notice the shoulder part of the torso (same part I’m pointing at) rotates in unison with the wearer’s shoulders. Furthermore, the shoulder pad itself seems to move independently from the bicep armor. Id definitely want to achieve that type of movement in my build.

I scrapped the previous shin armor I made, here’s my second attempt and I think it looks a lot better. I still have to add the support sticks inside that so the armor stays in shape and avoids warping. After I build the second I’ll move on to the thighs! I won’t be modeling helmets unfortunately, but there are models available out there from other people. Or you can buy helmet casts they’re selling.

So I can’t seem to find a model that is similar to the thigh of Chief in Infinite, so I decided I modeled my own. So far I have the overall base sculpt of the thigh, I’m yet to add the smaller details using fusion360 but I’m not that experienced yet so I’ll see how that turns out.

Here’s some progress on the legs, I should fiberglass them and the torso soon and get started on the other leg. For now I’ll stick with the simple base shape of the thigh since I’m working on other projects, I’ll just add all the details using eva foam. I will also trim the edges on the shin armor, it’s currently shaded but I don’t think it’s obvious in the picture.

How are my calves lookin guys? Here’s some progress on em, just gotta finish the top part of the knee. Also I had to redo the thigh armor, hopefully I’ll update the entire leg by next week. Stay safe my dudes!

Incredibly clean! Excellent work so far. Should be very easy to fiberglass and resin due to the quality already there, which means less sanding!

Legs are pretty much done here, I’m happy about how they’re turning out. Fits really well and the boots will add around 3-5 inches, which will improve the fit (I’ll explain on a later poLooking forward to making the details next week as well as fiberglassing all this. I’ll be working on the arms and the cod armor but the forearms and cod armor will have to be modeled, same with the boots. Hopefully I’ll get most of this suit done by the end of this month.

Legs are almost done. I’ve started on the boots and I’ll have them done soon. They’ll add around 5 inches once worn and should give that superhuman proportion. The heel and ankle armor here isn’t final yet, I’m just using an old halo 3 pep piece as a substitute for the picture. And if you’re all wondering, yes the boots really are huge, they just seem form fitting once the whole armor is on. As much as possible I’m keeping master chief’s proportions the same with the cutscenes, just shrunken down.
