EDIT: Changed the thread title from "Halo Suit in time for Halloween?" as I do not know when this will be completed as yet.

Can't believe it's been 2 years since my last post and I am still no further.

Hello I'm Jon and I have been wanting my own suit for some time now and was the reasoning for buying 3D printers etc. I did print the Halo 4/5 Full suit from the resources in here but ended up binning them all in favour of the Halo Infinite suit.

So this post will serv as some accountability for myself to keep the momentum and get it done. I have a dealing for this Halloween as I have agreed to attend a party in the suit so I have no excuses and it needs to be done! I will also be looking forward to attending Liverpool Comicon in November also.

Attached images are of the old chest piece and the helmet that I will be using (it's been printed for some time now but never finished).

So feel free to keep an eye on this space and badger me for updates and chase me along as I go. Also any tips \ tricks along the way will be greatly appreciated.

Until the next update.

Everyone is different, has different ways to stay on task. You do what works for you.
For me, I'm all about planning and lists with deadlines or I fall behind then suddenly its "con crunch".

Google Calender/To-Do is a decent free tool both for making lists and assigned due dates for each item. Having it pop up on your calendar as over due might be helpful. {Hint: Make the calendar your home page so it smacks you in the face every time you open your browser}

Another good tool that's also free and very flexible in is use is Microsoft OneNote. You can make lists, include links and photos, etc. I use it for punch lists {attached below}.

Or something as simple as a clipboard and pen, or whiteboard and marker... For me at least having it there in front of me in black & white does wonders.

Hey good luck with this! It'll be cool to follow.
(and thanks for the reminder that the deadline i se to make an entire suit is in basically 1 month lol)

Hi everyone,

Tha ks for the positivity and tips. A small update.

Mainly arm bits printed at the moment. Most supports have been removed but need tidying up before smoothing.

I usually use 50/50 uv resin and talc but will be trying something a little less toxic later in the week / weekend.

Nothing more to add here just yet as I have been away from work. I can however advise that it looks like i will be smoothing the prints with my 50/50 mix as the modelling paste does not seem to have the quickness i would like to see when being as lazy as possible in smoothing parts.

Having a due date is what has been pushing me forward (mine is in a couple days!) Hope to see more progress pictures soon.

Hi thank you for checking in.

It's not happening. I got so far and when doing a test fitting of the legs I realised that the scaling of the parts was not working out. The suit is built for someone who is 6' and I scaled everything up for someone 6'2" (my height). i should have kept it as it was then work around any parts which did not match up or were the wrong size afterwards.

Life also got in the way and I only have access to 1 of the 3 printers and that is not in a place where I can print so I may have something by next halloween ha ha.

Jokes a side when things calm down and I have all the printers i will be able to hit it head on and get it done. I'm looking at attend a few comicons next year and "need" the suit as i have all the electronics and stuff to add in to it as well.
