What do you hope to learn here?: I would love to learn more about building fantasy armor sets. I have made out kits for a medieval LARP I do (byzantine/rus in style) but never anything fantasy or si-fi. Currently I would like to make an odst styled motorcycle with a biking suit to go with it (I have minor welding and fabrication skills so I would prefer to make it out of metal as I would think that it would offer more protection in case of a crash than Eva foam

Favorite part of Halo: There are so many things to list. I was initially drawn to the armor of the spartans. Upon research of the armor I read more about Master Chief, his backstory, and relationship with Cortana. Eventually, I started reading the books and have truly embraced much of the lore associated with the franchise.

Favorite Halo: Not sure, I have only played parts of HALO: CE and HALO Infinite.

What do you hope to learn here?: Everything I can regarding how to build the best spartan armor that I can. Currently, I have several pepakura files downloaded and purchased pepakura designer software. In addition, I have started purchasing equipment and materials to start a foam armor build. Lastly, I have been watching lots of Youtube tutorials to get some ideas of where to start my build. Any recommendations on tutorials would be appreciated. Currently, I am deciding between developing a mark IV or a mark VI gen III set of armor.

Have you built/made a costume before?: Nope, this will be a first. I have had the interest for a long time and finally decided to start some new hobbies. The creation of some spartan armor will be a long time in the making.

Hey Friends!

My name is Natalie, people call me Nat, I am referred to by some gamer friends as MrsTopHatt (since my husbands gamer tag is SirTopHamHatt and myn is MrsTopHamHatt) and as an artist my name is GerriGene (which has its own unique story)

Profession? Student?: I have a normal job; working with a maintenance company doing admin work to dispatch contractors to fix broken things in rental homes.

Favorite Hobby: I am an artist, I paint mainly portraits but I have painted many other things. I have painted and met some celebrities to have them autograph the paintings like Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, Jason Mamoa, Chuck Norris, Peter Mayhew, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant and more
Favorite part of Halo: I grew up in a PlayStation family so I unfortunately was late to the halo party. I have been playing through all the games with my husband and the story line is just indescribably beautiful and amazing. Always with the goosbumps.

Other Interests: I was an elite/pro athlete running obstacle course races. I am currently pregnant but I cant wait to get back into it! I have built deadric armor out of cardstock and I am currently building halo armor to look like Church from Red vs Blue, Mandalorian armor in the colors of grey and yellow for the meaning of remembrance and mourning a lost loved one, ODST armor and clone commando armor for my husband from a 3d printer.
Favorite Food: this is a really hard question for a pregnant person.... I love lasagna fritta - its like fried lasagna noodles with alfredo sauce on the bottom and marinara on top.
Favorite Band: I love Linkin Park. They are just so timeless. I jammed to them when I was 5 and I jam to them still now.

What do you hope to learn here?: I am excited to show off my armor and art and see others, I have a huge community of cosplay builders with my pepakura but now we are building with the 3d printer and I hope to find a new community to get advise and give advise on builds and art

I am still in my pepakura facebook page because I still have advise to give from my experience and I love to see others work but I dont think I will be building with pepakura anymore now that we have 3d printers. It is still hard work dont get me wrong but building from pages of cardstock is definitely harder.
Other: I know this is a halo page so I will try to keep my posts relevant more to my halo build but I am super excited to show off my other work! I attached my daedric armor build because its the only full build I have at the moment
