Welcome to the group! Ex-Army crypto tech hear. Nice to see another vet!

Hello! Halo is my favorite franchise of all time and I’m wanting to enter the cosplay world and get a master chief armor!
HOLY the Ads on this site are terrible, it needs to get toned down. I’ve been trying to get acquainted with your site but all these POPUPS and banners keep coming up it’s terribly inconvenient so I don’t think I’ll spend much time scrolling and reading.

My favorite Halo is Halo Combat Evolved, where it all started. Some of my best memories as a kid were playing Halo on my Mac. I’d crank some classic rock and slay online. When I try to play online nowadays o have no skill and get blasted by the veterans haha! FANGS

First Name: Lucía, or Luci (it's easier to write (and cooler))
Profession? Student?: Student.
Age: 19
Favorite Hobby: Drawing and designing.
Favorite part of Halo: Character and environment design.
Favorite Halo: Halo 2 or Reach.
Favorite Video Game: Metroid Prime: Hunters and Hotline Miami.
Other Interests: Writing, comics, films, marine biology and paleontology, bowling.
Favorite Food: Oven baked sea bass, or rare steak.
Favorite Band: Daft Punk, i love MF Doom and Kendrick Lamar as well, though.
Favorite Movie(s): Too many, actually. I can't choose one, so... The Invisible Man (1933), Aliens (1986), Treasure Planet (2002) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)!
What do you hope to learn here?: As much as I can! I love to see prop and costume making processes, I admire artists who crafts that kind of stuff a lot. Of course, I have zero experience with foam and... just a little bit with 3D printing, so it will take a bit of time for me to actually make or post something here. I bought enough materials for EVA foam projects just in case I felt like trying, so any kind of help or tips are super appreciated! I also don't know how to use this site which is kind of funny, I hope I can learn that as well.
Have you built/made a costume before?: Yes! Not an armor or something Halo related, though. I made an Oogie Boogie (from The Nightmare Before Christmas) suit a couple of years ago.
Do you belong to any other costume communities? If so, which one(s)?: I do not, this is my first time in one!
Other: I remember seeing a Master Chief cosplayer somewhere when I was really small, like, about 6 or 7 years old, and that was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life, I was extremely flabbergasted. I'm very sure that's what made me start playing and getting into Halo, actually. And since that, I've always wanted to build an epic costume and look super cool, just like him. I don't know why, I've never been brave enough to make anything, that's why I'm here, to finally learn and observe! Also, I'm working in a personal project, a comic, which I think it's pretty cool. But yep, some months ago, I felt like I needed to try a new hobby as well, just to try out new things, so why not? Also, English is not my first language so I'm sorry if there's a hundred typos everywhere.
I'm glad to be here, everyone seems to be really skilled and talented!

First Name: Cristopher, or Cris, either works.
Profession? Student?: Currently a Student in HS.
Age: 16, born 2008 :).
Favorite Hobby: As of recently, playing guitar.
Favorite part of Halo: The infantry, the marine's, the army, or the ODST's, they're the coolest to me as they're armors through the games just seem so sick.
Favorite Halo: Reach, I loved the old menu screen.
Favorite Video Game: Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Other Interests: Hiking, Motorcycles seem cool, Camping, airsoft (currently working up to start out), and drawing portraits or cool stuff I like.
Favorite Food: Burgers, Doubles are just as great.
Favorite Band: I like Panchiko.
Favorite Movie(s): HEAT (1995), 1918, 28 days later, Jarhead, Bruce almighty, The Waterboy, Mrs. Doubtfire, and A Quiet Place.
What do you hope to learn here?: I hope I can learn how to make cool cosplay prop guns and armor out of EVA foam as i've always been interested in making them, also just wanna learn how to make good costumes for some possible short film ideas I have.
Have you built/made a costume before?: building, no, making yes. I've pieced costumes together by buying pieces like uniforms, vests, fake blood, bandages or regular clothes from the thrift store.
Do you belong to any other costume communities? If so, which one(s)?: No, this is my first community I'm joining
Other: I'm honestly not planing to make many spartan related stuff, I just like the appeal of foot soldiers, just regular guys that are just fighting to live like everyone else.
