too bad Iam too much a 'blueprint' type of guy - I can't seem to catch on to foam work, gotta make the pep files into larger pieces I guess but.. oh well.. we'll see how mine turns out, at least it's learning, even if the armor is trash.

Kissker, you could always free form. It still runs along the lines of "blue prints," however, you are the one making them. That's what I'm in the process of doing. Look at tons of pictures (game or real armor inspired) get say.... poster board and draw out the piece you want to work on. Lay it on the foam sheet, draw the outline and cut it out. If it works, save your template/blue print and make the other side or what not. Really simple.

Haha thanks! i like the carter one a lot, but i will be using it for display now since its chipping and whatnot, and im sure youve heard about the fitting issues. i should be hardening my MKVI helmet tomorrow, and as soon as im done revamping things, im gonna get crackin' on that new gungnir helmet if you have seen it around, super detailed.

thanks guys for all the feedback, the shells are not live nor folded cuz like i said, im working on it and wearing it a college that has had recent shootings.

Well you might want to look into ceramic tiles and kevlar for the chestpiece then.

No really in all seriousness, your suit is awesome and has added to my already high motivation.

I too am starting to go to foam because I dont like to pep tiny stuff, and I also happen to be the tall and lean type, so default proportions wont fit me.
