Higher Detail Carter Helmet

Even though I had completed my Carter helmet, I found a higher detail file by Stony Props and decided to give it a try. This version was actually a alot easier to build and will probably be my primary. If anyone is interested check out his facebook page, the file will be available there.

It still needs to be sanded down and smoothed out. Some of the resin leaked out, but no warping, so no biggee!!

Helmet currently in pre paint stage. Have the visor mounted to my liking, FINALLY. Waiting for clay used for filling in gaps to dry then I can plasti dip certain areas then final paint.

Update time 8-7-12

This is my third build of the Carter helmet. This one is based on a design by Stony Props. It didn't come out 100% perfect. BUT I am really happy with it. I think I am gonna just keep working on it over and over until the Halo 4 midnight release LOL.

I have been lazy the last few weeks. I actually built ANOTHER helmet since the last. It actually came out perfect, or at least perfect to me. I am off for the next week so I'll be working to finish the Carter build plus working on a Halo Reach Trooper build for Halloween. I would wear the carter build but it would be tough to go around trick or treating for a few hrs.
