Wow, it looks really awsome, even without the completed paint job the helmet has a great 'worn out' look to it. Up above when you added the foam, the texture looked really cool! (too bad it had to be sanded down for the sleek armor look) but i'll keep that foam in mind if i'll be doing a rougher textured armor.

Indeed... I like the texture of the foam ( the other side was smooth ) ... I thought the texture made the suit look metal like-- but sadly foam creates Huge nasty lines... ( Master Chief isn't made of tiny pieces that are stuck together ) So........ I'm trying to keep as much of that "Cool texture foam" as I can!! ( I'm honestly thinking of doing most of the pieces over using the bondo/resin way...)

Just acouple more pictures of progress... ( Today I worked on the back piece... got a "Vent" put in ) I simply made my own pep file and keep cutting it smaller and smaller and presto! A back Vent!
The helmet isnt going to be pink.... =D I was just testing the "Battle Damage method.." it looks pretty good
*Won't be on until Moday! Taking a short break =D ---got to get the garden and everything done this weekend xD

I'm sad to report ( I broke my double visor "visor" the clear one xD ) i bent it to far and it snapped... So I got a bigger piece of clear plastic and it was to thick ( After I made it I tried to test fit it...) IT BROKE TOO!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I bought a clear motorcycle visor at a junk store for a dollar... ( I'm soon going to cut out the pattern ) This should work....
Anyways I'm working on it here and there today ( I am going to use Fiberglass resin and MATS for the shoulders )

So....I bought some fiberglass mats---- anyone wanta post a thread or small tutorial here would be great =D I've been extremly busy and don't have alot of time to get on here--- slows me down on the suit even more xD

Big UPDATE --- and schedule of what I'm going to be working on for the next month---
- A animal rescue place has ask me to wear my suit to take pictures with children and people to raise money... like 2 dollars a pictures , so therefore I got to get my suit somewhat complete BEFORE JUNE 9th!!!
---THAT SAID HERE IS MY PLANS BELOW TO BE WORKING ON---- I WILL POST PICTURES ALITTLE LATER ON PROGRESS
*BY May 13th--I will have LEGS, THIGHS, SHOULDERS ALL MADE INTO PAPER (ready for resin/Rondo) --so far I have one leg, working on one thigh, and already done shoulders
*May 18-May 20th are three days of RONDO/RESIN!
*May 21st- May 24th finish helmet and left forearm (since I changed the other one slightly)
*May 25th through June 2nd---SAND SAND SAND.... then paint till June 9TH

Here is a Thank you for unfolding/making of the thigh pep files! High Def version I do believe..

Anyways I wanted to get the helmet as close to complete/ good enough for June 9th--
I Used 5 layers of spray paint--- First I used a cheap black paint just to prime it... I let it dry and simply sprayed again! -So 2 layers of black
Next I used a very shiny Gold
following a very Shiny Silver-- for metal look
Next I used a brighter Green
Final coat is a darker green!!
Finally I touched it up with some black paint....
This is a good picture of *Battle Damage/roughed up paint
Next I installed some LEDS!! It was extremly hard and I rednecked it some what.... *Ill explain later on- In a hurry to throw this at yall
This last picture I got excited about the helmet so I had to test try it on with the visor and lights !! HAHAHAHA My mom got a picture of me xD haha

I purchased a different one and I believe I'm gonna have to rip the spine plastic off because it it's flat like yours is. Way better undersuit than mine!

I also...... have purchase this undersuit ---Thanks to Longshot (the first I believe) and Annanymous for reasurring me it will work
That's the exact one that I use for my Mark VI as the hot weather undersuit. I just recently swapped out my cold weather one for this one.
I like this one because of how breathable it is.

Which battle damage are you refering to exactly? If you mean the silver spots everywhere, all i did was after i painted the metallic silver and let it dry, i put some patrolium jelly on the areas i wanted the silver to show and then sprayed the red and blue colors where they are. After those dried, i wiped off the jelly and presto, there is the silver lol. It is not the best, but i think it turned out well. I got the idea from Starvin artist, who got it from nicknackpattywack i believe. I could be wrong on who he got it from so dont quote me
If your refering to some of the divets and stuff in my helmet that are on the back and whatnot, that was just bad bondoing lmao. my first attempt.
