Vshore, absolutly stunning my friend. Very clean pep work indeed. Keep it up. I like your idea with the visor. I think ill do that with my rouge helmet im almost done with :) if ya dont mind that is.

Thanks very much for the nice comments. And go ahead, use the idea, I don't mind. The more the better.

As far as I can tell, the helmet does not have lights. But other parts such as the chest attachment and the shoulder attachments do. See pics below.

I would like to see the reference pics you have, if you wouldn't mind sending them to me. You can use the email in my signature if you would like. I appreciate it man.

No I just meant the helmet dosent have lights. The rest does because the MK VI is covered in lights.

Awesome! So great to see the helmet so close to being finished! I especially love the visor colors with the helmet's paint job (seems to be a similar colored visor to the one I used).

Keep up the great work. :)

Update!!!

OK, before I forget, do not remove the protective covering from the visor until you are done with everything!!! I stuck some cling wrap to my visor and it pulled a patch of the mirror off....

With that said... I marked off the visor with a small bendy ruler and sharpie, just eye balling everything.

Then I had scraped off the tint in between the lines, with out any covering. I didn't want to take a chance of loosing any more of the mirror film.

Also, here is a cool pic of the inside.

Another quick tip, put a piece of white paper behind the visor as you scrape the film off, it will help out a ton in seeing where you have and haven't scraped. Also, keep a soft rag handy to wipe away the shavings.

Wow, that's all I can say. I'm currently working on a few helmets (two Mk. VI's for friends and a Mk. V for my girlfriend, and an ODST for myself), and I can only hope they come out half as good as your CQB has. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread, I'm excited to see what you do with the rest of the suit.

Thanks jason for the positive comments. The key is to take your time with what ever build you are doing. Don't rush through to the end because ultimately you won't be satisfied with your finished product.

The Visor looks great.
Thanks thorn. I appreciate it buddy. I have been following your build and I am impressed at how it's coming along.

I will working on the padding hopefully this week so should have another update soon.

I just want to say I like this build so much that this helmet and colour scheme is what my spartan in Reach is wearing right now.

No problem. I think I'm going to get them all pepped together, but I'm going to finish them one at a time. I'm hoping to get some of them done by the CE: Anniversary release date, but I'm not gonna rush it. If I don't make the deadline there's always Halo 4 :)

I know buddy. I want to make those two dates also but man...do I have a lot of work left, lol.

Hey vshore, just a quick post to tell you that your work is really awe-inspiring and to ask you a question about your helmet : did you had to do any scaling with your pep file? (If not, printed in A4 or Letter? I'm guessing A4 but who knows)

Keep up the good work, this is some high-caliber geek art you got there!
