BIG UPDATE: Who wants to help me out?

I'll play around with the model and try to see what I can do. If anyone wants to give a hand getting this
3d print ready would be great. Might get it for pep too. Details are really low apparently so detailing it would be

I just saw my son playing Master Chief in that game forts night or whatever it's called. Its the Halo infinite chief. Looks pretty accurate.

Separated the helmet, torso, thigh, shin, and boots (arms coming soon). Made individual obj. and stl. files for the separated armor pieces. A lot of the body is very low poly so not sure if its a good idea for 3d printing but I plan on unfolding all of this as pdo. files when I have time again soon. If anything, I'll try to get the helmet for 3d printing.

The low poly count probably comes from normal maps to create details. Great for real time rendering, sucks for cosplayers though - so I have a "love-hate" relationship with them. Low detail is good for foamsmithing patterns, but yea for most Pepakura and 3D printing, quite annoying.

Just had a 3 week break from uni and decided to use up all that time to make another suit for fun. I aim to make this thread more methodical. Specifically talking about how I fiberglass my suits. Tho pep isn’t as common as it is today I still enjoy it a lot, hopefully you guys can learn a thing...

Played a little with f360. Thought it was impossible but here’s a first glimpse of my attempt on making Halo armor with solid modeling. Not just any halo armor but this is the Halo Infinite Mark VII suit. Not sure if I’ll complete the whole suit but I’m loving it so far. And you’re probably thinking why I didn’t do this in blender well I’m just crazy that way lmao. But mainly because I have no time to learn blender at the moment.

I mainly applied what I’ve learned from making the models for my infinite build and just my general knowledge with f360 and I’m pretty pleased with it.

Legs are almost done. I’ve started on the boots and I’ll have them done soon. They’ll add around 5 inches once worn and should give that superhuman proportion. The heel and ankle armor here isn’t final yet, I’m just using an old halo 3 pep piece as a substitute for the picture. And if you’re all wondering, yes the boots really are huge, they just seem form fitting once the whole armor is on. As much as possible I’m keeping master chief’s proportions the same with the cutscenes, just shrunken down. View attachment 289845View attachment 289847

Of your models?, I'm trying to make my own armour out of styrene instead of just foam, and that could help if you can

Also mache ich endlich einen weiteren Build-Thread und hoffe, dass ich diesen aktualisieren kann. Ich werde die Gen III-Rüstung des Master Chiefs von Halo Infinite aus starten. Obwohl auf offizielle Dateien nicht zugegriffen werden kann, werde ich nur versuchen, die bestmöglichen Dateien zu erstellen und sie zu ändern. Indeed. Figuring out the calf part is currently my biggest challenge. I’m finding out if I’m better off with free form shapes or get magical with lofts

Getting into the Form environment and creating/adjusting faces and then bringing everything back into the Model environment for detailing makes for an amazing set of tools. If you haven't tried I highly recommend giving it a shot and forcing yourself into learning how Fusion handles surface modeling and free form modeling to give yourself even more control over your designs.

Here’s a little update for my first Infinite Chief suit. Not much different from previous posts but it’s much much closer to completion. Still need to repaint some parts and finish the helmet and padding. Proper strapping will probs take the most time so it’ll be awhile before I get to do that. And I may end up merging this thread with another build.
