So my question is does this seem right? Is 530 mm correct, or should I reduce the size?
such a long way to ask a question but yeah and heres a picture to go with it.

Having not played past ME2 yet I'm not familiar with the particular weapon, but I will say that when I did my H4 DMR, it was scaled to 117cm. Granted it's a fairly long rifle, but when I hold it up the scale looks right. If it's a shorter shotgun in-game (and from the looks of the images, it is), I would think that sounds about right. Could always make a cardboard cutout of the general shape with the correct dimensions and see how you feel about it after looking at it that way, too.

Thanks for that, Already started pepping it, 18pages and 280 pieces. this may take a while.

hey guys, I've spend the last two days doing all my reading and researching the method to pepping.
I've decided that I'm going to tackle Agent Maine.
I'd be cheating myself if I even thought about making anything else.
I've been looking for the file to put into Pepakura Designer so i can get started.
But for some reason I can't find anything.
Would you guys be able to help me out here please?

I swear this will be the only annoying noobish question I'll ask!

also, i don't have the money to pay for a premium 4shared account.
is there a free source?!

Well, I'm not 100% about the armour configurations of Maine, but if you browse for a while, I'm sure that someone has already compiled a list of all the armour parts used, and from there you can track down each file individually if need be. As for the 4shared, it is free, you just sign up with your e-mail (I have a dedicated e-mail which I use for these things, one that I don't mind getting spam on, although 4shared is pretty good on that front). The only downside is there is a 20 second wait before you download, but that's nothing but a minor inconvenience. Hope this helped, if I wasn't clear, let me know, I'll see what I can do.

This might have been answered before but is there a way to change the size settings before printing the pep file?
Also, what do you do if one of the parts are extended beyond a regular page?
Sorry Im a little new here.

What do you mean by changing the size settings? Changing the size of the model, paper size?

If a piece shows up extended beyond the edge of the page, just drag it back onto the page (assuming you're using Pep Designer; if you're using Pep Viewer, uninstall it and download Designer).

Ok, you mean scaling the model. Click on the "2D Menu" tab at the top, then click "Recalculate Parts Layout." That will bring up the Parts Layout window where you can adjust the size of the model based on height, width or depth (you have to choose one, the others will be adjusted automatically to maintain the proportions). Keep in mind that after you enter the new scale, you will have to ensure that the parts on the 2D window are placed on the pages. Most likely, you will need to move a few around. For a guide on how to scale a pep piece, check this tutorial out...

I have search/read almost every page on glues, however will Gorilla glue work, I know it foams a bit but it holds. I am going to get my feet wet with my first build (Combat Knife). I will try to post pics, but I am not going to make any promises.

I used Gorilla glue on my first shoulder and I was too impatient. I now use thin pro super glue. It sets in 3 sec. Plus the Gorilla was too thick and slimy.

Thanks, Will have to get some. Tracing the patterns out, because I don't have a printer, by placing the paper on screen, it very time consuming, now I have to detail the lines, then start the process of cutting, after I find me some glue. I am thinking that once I cut it out, glue it together and then make a test fit. The pattern for the combat knife has a straight sheath, where the hilt would fit against it, but the knife has an angled hilt. I am wondering if I should modify it, so that the sheath and hilt slide nice and snug or not, because it kinda looks goofy! I am thinking that once I start in on the resin step, that once the outside is sealed of pouring the inside so it is filled. At that point I could put a realistic edge on it.

I'm assuming you're talking about the file I released for the Halo Reach knife. If you take a look at the in-game knife, that's the way it is. At first, I too though it was odd that the sheath had a straight opening, but the hilt was angled, so I initially designed the sheath with an angled opening. However, after seeing more reference pictures and watching promo videos over and over, it's clear that the released sheath is accurate.

i recently unfolded a file, a section of it has 3 overlapping pieces that are not connected when the thing has been pep'd, no location marks on where to join these pieces

is there any way, within pep designer. to edit the model to join the unjoined pieces (red line) to the actual piece itself
so when pep'ed its one solid piece?
