I'm a simple guy so I like simple stuff, mjolnir armor appeals to me because it's easy to use.
SWG.net is easy to use too so I like it, I say go for it.
Go ahead and edit this topic, whoever started it, with a poll...based on layouts, names and whatnot...
oh and dude...Frag...we definetly do not outnumber the 501st...
They have somewhat like 10,000 armored clones/jangos/stormtroopers/vaders....etc...etc
OK BIG SPACE TIME.....
SO here is a comprehensive list of some of the stuff the 501st has.
Here is our rules in the newbie area :
Here is out Want to buy thread policy :
Clonetroopers.net Wanted to Buy Thread Policy
Public Wanted to Buy Threads (WTB) are not allowed. Even the request by PM.
The purpose of this rule is to protect not only the artisan, but Clonetroopers.net as well.
Clonetroopers.net (CT.net) is an official detachment of the 501st Legion. Our existence is to be a community of information and knowledge to help one another in their clone quest, be it a veteran costumer or the first timer. Please know we understand how hard or frustrating it may be for new people to get invovled, especially with this policy.
We ask that all newcomers respect the fact that the replica prop and costuming community needs to protect the artisans who supply us with our various costume parts from the overexposure and attention they may get.
If you are wondering how to find the answers to your questions, here are some answers.
Research
Throughout CT.net you will find many forums dedicated to the clonetroopers. The detachment does its best to cover the various clonetroopers and armor schemes. You will see discussion on different items for sale and probably note the use of initials. An artist or prop builder initials are used for safety reasons, you will see these initials over and over. If you want to know what a particular set of initials stand for, send a PM to the person who made the post.
We encourage you to gather as much information as possible, their are several makers of every item out their for the good of the community. People have different tastes and body shapes and we believe our community caters to just about everyone.
If you happen to find something you like, you may send that person a pm about that particular item or the maker of that item. Do not disclose in the public information that has been privately sent to you.
Please understand this hobby can be expensive, but if you do your research, you will find what you are looking for. This community is built of great individuals who give their time and resources to make it as good as possible, we expect that to be respected.
In conclusion
Please do your research throughout this forum. It is your money.
Please do not expect others to do your work.
Please respect all members and the artisans of this community.
CT.net mods will delete WTB threads, and repeat offenders will be given warnings and possible banning from this forum may occur.
This detachment has become a great resource and wealth of knowledge for all things clone. We hope you enjoy your stay here, however long you choose to stay. We thank you ahead of time for not only respecting this policy, but the contributions you make to this hobby we all love and enjoy.
Thank you for visiting CT.net!
This our newbie policy: Welcome to CT.N, where all things clone rule the galaxy. As a token of your good faith, please familiarize yourself with the Forum Rules and introduce yourself in the newbie section. Tell us a little about yourself, where you’re from and your reasons for signing up for our great forum. If you are here to look for helpful information to help you build a costume, let us know what kind of costume you are interested in assembling.
Under no circumstances will Want to Buy (WTB) adds be posted. CT.N is not a storefront and will not tolerate such posts.
All armor inquiries may be directed toward any deployed trooper through private messenging (PM) or your local garrison. To find a full listing of garrisons in your area, please visit: www.501st.com.
Unless you are an approved 501st member, do not use ID's such as TK-1234 or RC-9999 or TC-1234, etc.. If you decide to create an account with a TK ID, we will verify that you are a 501st member. If you are not a 501st member we will ask you to pick another name and one of the admins will change it for you.
The Command Staff would like to welcome you aboard and wish you well on your clone quest.
It's stuff we came up with after many people started to ask for armor and our forums was becoming a spam infested wishlist... for clone armor area...
Now, the 501st recquires two things...you have a "PROFFESSIONAL QUALITY COSTUME" and be 18. To join.
I say, we put the age limit at 16. When you can get your drivers license.
And put up an age 15, get permission from parents type of thing.
Now, we should do regiments based on state. And detachments based on armor types
The marine detachment
The ODST detachment
The Mjolnir armor detachment (which could stay as this forum)
The elite armor detachment, which could be the cousin of the human armors..?
